I was a bit disappointed at the canopy since it does not adjust and if you have a taller toddler, it will sit on the top of his/her head. I just removed the canopy and put their hat on. That said if the sun is at your back while walking it does provide a bit of cover.

The canopy on this 3-in-1 trike does stay on through all three stages of the bike, growing with your child from ten months, up for three years of age. It is detachable, but if you choose it can stay on the trike for as long as you would like no matter the stage you are using. The storage bag will also provide extra space for any trinkets or snacks your child may want to take on their ride. This item features a seat belt and safety bar, with a long back support and padded seat cover, providing extra safety and protection for your child. In the earlier stages of this bike there is an adjustable telescopic steering handle, allowing parents to steer their children in the right direction. Offers many features for the price that other manufactures do not. Has rubber wheels not plastic nor inflated, made of all metal not plastic parts (but is about 2 lbs lighter than other companies), offers not only a parent push bar but also has a parent controlled clutch for a freewheeling option. This way their little feet do not get caught up in the wheels like other manufactures. I am looking forward to it's use. Also, has great reviews from parents already using it!
