My sons love their chairs! They are very sturdy, have a locking mechanism so as not to fold in on the kids, and adjustable position umbrella. They fold up nicely and are lightweight. To top it off, you just can't beat the price!

We began to use the chair beginning when our son was 2 years old. He loved that his "job" was to carry it himself and that it was just his size. When beach season was over, he set it up in our living room. He's now 3 and it's still appropriate.

You can detach the umbrella but not the fastener that holds the umbrella. Good chair for the price.
