After much research I finally decided on the Jeep Wagoneer tandem stroller. With a very active 2 year old and new baby on the way, I needed a very sturdy functional stroller. First it took no more than 1 person and 10 minutes to assemble ( even with my two year olds 'help'). This stroller has more cargo space than anything else on the market. The huge basket underneath is easily accessed even with the rear seat in the reclined position. It also features a zipper to get into the front part of the basket. The two side pockets are great for small toys, pacifiers etc... The seat cushions are easily removable with velcro for simple cleaning. It is a little longer than some of the other strollers on the market but I think it has better leg room for the rear seat. The handle extends far enough back so you won't step on the rear axle, a problem my husband and I both had with the 4 other strollers we've purchased( we are not tall people either). It handles easily and very smoothly with large wheels and shock absorbers. I found its one hand fold mechanism easy to use and was surprised at how compact it got, not much larger than my single travel system. My toddler loves the steering wheel on the snack tray and will sit content for even the longest shopping trip (a small miracle in itself) Last of all it is extremely stylish, no teddy bears here!
5.00 rating Kolcraft Double Twin Stroller is a great ride! by Mom, Chicago, IL on January 1, 2004
Spacious, Ample Storage Space, Sturdy, Collapses Easily, Great Features, Affordable! Not a good stroller for twins unless they are toddler age. Overall, it is a great investment! If you have a toddler and a newborn and would like a stroller to grow with you, this is it! High quality, low dollar, and fabulous features!
4.00 rating Overall a good purchase by Jessie, Mt Pocono, PA on January 1, 2004
I got this for my 2 young sons, when they were 2 and 9 mos. I searched all over looking for a tandem stroller, and liked the looks of this one. I really like the ample amount of space beneath the seats...plenty of room for a diaper bag, plus shopping bags. Also the insulated "saddle bags" definately do keep things cool or hot. I'm not to fond of the difficulty of turning this in tight quarters. It's okay for open areas, such as the mall, but small stores are nearly impossible. Overall though, I would purchase this again. My 2 boys are very comfortable in the seats.
3.00 rating Twin stroller by Halley, Havertorn, TX on January 1, 2004
This stroller is designed for an older child and an infant or two older children. The front seat does not recline full or hold a baby carrier. The main reason I bought this stroller was to accomadate the Evenflo carrier I had for my son. I was unable to find an Evenflo double stroller that would be compatible with the carrier and the Jeep Wagoneer does. I will say that this stroller is really heavy. You really have to use your muscles in order to turn it. That and the fact that it doesn't have a cup holder for the parent are the biggest problems I have encountered. I do like the amount of storage this stroller has. If I go shopping at a mall it can hold the diaper bag, purses, purchases, and then some! Both of the kids have trays with drink holders and the front seat has a steering wheel to play with. Also, the one hand folding is not as hard as other strollers I have had. I am fairly happy with the stroller. I do wish it were a lot easier to steer and lighter, but I get good use out of it. I have had it a year and the only real wear and tear is that the storage bag underneath has a tear in the vinyl. If I had to purchase again I would pick something lighter and smaller.
