Could I use this without the stroller to take the baby to the beach or friends or Nana's house and could you carry it with baby in it? Would you carry it by the hood without ruining it or would that not be strong enough with baby in? I had a little bed similar and we used it so much, but want to make sure it's safe enough and strong enough for that purpose. I hear that the car seats that people carry them in from car to store or whatever, the babies sweat in them.
