We bought two of these plus a bunch of extra panels. One set was placed outside on the deck, another in the family room. We originally tried one of the cheaper SuperYards naively thinking we could save money and achieve the same results, but quickly realized that it couldn't be expanded or configured any way other than in a hexagon because it's too flimsy. The double-walled plastic ones are undoubtedly better, but there's a limit to how much they can be expanded. The tubular steel playdens are VERY sturdy, can be configured any way you like, and provide limitless expandability. The playden placed outside was out there for an entire year and showed a little rust around a couple of joints. This didn't affect the structural soundness of the set, just the appearance. It was evident that the set could last for a number of years out there if need be. The set is heavy, which is a sign of it's quality construction, so don't plan on moving it frequently.
