The plywood is not very sturdy, and the exterior easily scratches. We like the look of it with the Emily set, but it's not even the Emily dresser shown on DaVinci's website. We found damaged areas on the dresser, and when we tried to get them replaced the BabyAge customer service said it was past the 7 day deadline to report damage. Be sure to check all your pieces IMMEDIATELY even if the box looks like its in good condition. Buyer beware on this item, but we'd still recommend the crib and the changing table. | | By: Disappointed 3/26/2007 | | | I love this - and correction (help maybe) on one star post | We wanted the crib and we were going to scab together a dresser and paint it black. However, my husband's grandmother surprised us and bought us the crib AND this dresser! It arrive packed VERY well and it was SUPER easy and fast to put together. I will say, do not lose any pieces of the hardware as they give you only just enough. The other person that posted saying she kept getting a dresser with white sides was right. They failed to read or be told that the dresser comes with a peal away film on it (it is white) that is on there to protect it when it is shipped and put together. The directions tell you to peal it off when it is all put together. I hope that person sees this and can get the matching set! The drawers on this open and close very smoothly, and I love the way it looks. The knobs are nice, but we switched to knobs that are a black metal and it looks extra classy! | | By: Happy Mom, MI 1/1/2004 | | | Extremely Disappointing | When we received this piece, it had white sides instead of black. We tried three times to get it corrected and never did. Unfortunately, we had already been using our matching changing table. I now have a nursery that will not match! I wouldn't purchase this product unless they can assure you that the problem has been corrected. | | By: Vegmom, USA, USA 1/1/2004 | | | Buy this! | We wanted black furniture for our nursery (We are doing a Lion King theme with bright colors for our little daughter-to-be) and Da Vinci's Crib, Dresser and Changing Table were the only black furniture out there that I liked (modern I know!~). When we ordered them, they came very quickly (within several days) and were all relatively easy for me to put together myself (at 4 1/2 months pregnant). I highly recommend this furniture to everyone - it is beautiful, sturdy, and will grow with your child (not "babyish"). If you like modern and sleek, you'll love this furniture! | | By: Toni, Pittsburgh, PA 1/1/2004 | | | Write your own review and start sharing your opinion with others. | | | | |
