She hated being on her back and wouldn't sleep in her crib. This swing was the only way I got any sleep at all. She's 5 months now and still loves to nap in it every once and awhile. I love that it can change directions and offer different ways to swing. The various sounds are also very soothing. Great swing! | | By: Vegas Mom 9/13/2007 | | | Okay for nap time, not for play | This swing is great for nap time, sometimes it's the only way I can get my 3 month old son to sleep. He also likes to look at himself in the mirror and stare at the birds. The cons though for me overwelm the pros. I think the lowest swing setting is way to fast, and the fastest would throw him out. The manual says it's good upto 25.lbs, but he is 18.lbs and it tips a bit in the swing mode. Also the colors are not the least bit stimulating. Overall it's great for naping, but not for playing and I wouldn't recomend it for babys over 3-4 months. I think you can get a better deal for your buck else where!! | | By: JoAnn 9/3/2007 | | | papasan cradle swing | Best swing ever would never use any other swing then this one.Highly Highly Recommed it Truely is the BEST. | | By: Mary 6/26/2007 | | | Great Swing! | My daughter has loved this swing since birth! It really is a life saver. She takes long naps in it, and is also happy just sitting there looking at herself or the living room. I couldn't be happier with this swing- I too am dreading the day she grows out of it! | | By: Jill 12/14/2006 | | | Why this swing is better than the Graco 6-speed model | I had originally bought the Graco 6-speed swing, but unfortunately, the motor burned out on it after only two months of use. But that's fine, because it gave me an excuse to go buy the Baby Papasan Cradle Swing! All in all, this is a really great swing. The color scheme is neutral and should match any decor. Yes, the swing is pretty expensive, but I think for the quality of the swing, it is worth it. | | By: C.D. Phoenix, AZ | | | Not worth the money | I wish I had the ocean aquarium swing instead of this one. The colors are very boring. My son likes the birds and the mirror when he looks up, but otherwise it's not worth the money. | | By: Brandy, NC | | | Must Have!, | My mother-in-law bought this swing for our number 4 child. We had tried several other swings which were all great but this is the cadillac of swings. Some people were concerned about the muted colors but I love them. They go with my home decor. The baby loved the mirror from the get go and would watch the reflections it created for long periods of time. The papasan has lots of cushion and I never worry about letting him sleep in it. In fact in the early weeks he would sleep for 4-6 hours a night in the swing, but in his cradle or in my bed only a few a hours at a time. Some say it burns through batteries but my baby was 11 pounds ten ounces at birth and we used it for hours a day and he is 5 weeks old and we are just now replacing the first set of C batteries. I think it was well worth the money. It's a great product and I feel that I have had a lot more time to get things done because of it. | | By: Tonya, USA | | | Great for hands free moments | My son loves this swing. When he's awake he'll happily watch himself in the mirror above. The numerous different speeds don't do much because we jsut automatically put it on the highest speed. We haven't used the upright position yet but I'm sure he'll liek that too. We have an older home and the floors aren't level so the swining motion sometimes causes the swing to click and clack. It is a pain to move from room to room especially with narrow doorways. But overall it's a great nap alternative to the crib and gives us hands free moments. | | By: E.W., USA | | | Good for me after 3mo | This swing is great, but my daughter didn't really start enjoying it until she turned 3 months. Now it's her favorite thing. | | By: Nina, NY | | | Better than her crib for a good long nap | Well just like the Baby Papasan bouncer, this was our daughters second swing. She also has the Ocen Wonders swing and adores it. We get this one because she has some minor breathing problems and sleep better in an upright type poistion. She would sleep in the fish swing but not for long. It was like it restricted her movement and she just couldn't get confortable. So when we say this one, we decided to bitethe bullet and get another swing. But, it has been a great buy. She will sleep in this thing for hours because the seat is wider and less confining. Plus it is so comfy! Just like our Papasan. It has all the same great features as the fish swing. Multiple speeds, multiple sound settings, mobile, light display, removable tray with toys, recline, and push button changing from cradle to regular swing. I would be hard pressed to pick between the two swings because she rests so much better in the Papasan but she plays longer in the Ocean Wonders. Luckily we had the room and the gift cards to have both. Maybe Fisher Price will come up with some sort of combo model by the time our next kid gets here! :o) | | By: Leslie, Western NC | | | Write your own review and start sharing your opinion with others. | | | | | | | | | | |
