I am a car seat technician of 6 years, and I have installed pretty much every seat available in that time. I have two kids and this seat was my 12th car seat purchase in 7 years. I bought this seat to replace a Britax Parkway. We liked the Parkway, but my DH's car is old and does not have side impact beams in the door, so we wanted a seat with more side impact protection. This booster has the most side impact protection available. My son likes the seat and says it is comfortable. He is 7 and is big for his age (62 lb. and 50") and still has lots of growing room in this seat. The cupholders are a bit better than on the Parkway. The seat is extremely well padded (triple padding on the seat compared to the Parkway) and is very cushy. The head wings definitely protrude more than on the Parkway, as do the side wings around the body. The only feature I am not thrilled with is the armrests. They can be moved out, but cannot be adjusted up in height. The seatbelt must be routed under BOTH armrests, so buckling can be difficult and hard for kids to do on their own. Even at age 7 I have to help my son buckle in this seat. There is very little clearance under the armrests for the seatbelt. Overall we are very happy with the increased protection this seat offers. My son is very comfortable in the seat and likes that it does not look like a baby seat. All kids should ride in a 5-pt. harness until they weigh at least 40 pounds (65 pounds if they have a Marathon/Decathlon/Boulevard) and can sit properly in a booster seat without unbuckling or repositioning the seatbelt. If you have a 40 pound 2 year old, please don't buy a booster. But a Britax Regent instead :0)

I was excited to buy a Britax, a name I've trusted since the kids were born. However you must concider your child's size. Even though the product description says 38" or taller, and up to 100lbs my kids seem uncomfortable in it. Space for shoulder span is not wide enough; or my kids have extra wide shoulders.

I just purchased this seat as we're moving my son out of his Britax Roundabout to give that to baby sister. Britax makes, by far, the best car seats I have ever used. With five children, we've gone through many brands and types of car seats, nothing else comes close to Britax. This is the best booster I have ever had for my kids. The seat is solid and my son really seems to appreciate the head support "wings." He seems so comfortable and I'm comfortable knowing he's well protected. I do agree with a previous poster about the low clearance on the arm rests making threading the belt a little difficult, but with the height they are at I know my son isn’t going to be able to lift the lower portion of the belt high enough to wiggle out the bottom. I tried another booster with one of my older children and he would do that. That seat didn’t say around for long. For me the little extra effort pays for the additional security. I also have to say BabyAge is amazing. I knew the seat I wanted and shopped several sites. They had the best price and color selection on the web. I placed my order at 6 AM and received it the next afternoon. Amazing! Thank you Britax and thank you BabyAge.
