Little Tikes Secret Garden Cottage

Before I ordered this play house I read the other reviews. One reported that it was very complicated to put together, instructions weren't easy to follow and many holes needed to be drilled. They were right....and they were also right when they said it was all worth it! My grandson loves his little house. It is very sturdy...cute as can be..and the doorbell has different sounds which he really likes too. I just wish it had a floor.

We bought this little tikes cottage for our 2 year old granddaughter. I could put most of it together by myself, but needed my husbands assistance to tighten the screws and help with the roof. The directions were a little confusing at first, but I did manage to get through them. The roof doesn't fit like I think it should, but after the look on our granddaughters face when she first laid eyes on her new little house, the hassel of putting it together was worth it. It took approx 2 1/2 hours for me to assemble it from start to finish.

We bought this for our 2yr old daughter and 4yr old son for Christmas. The cottage is SO cute, and durable!! The kids play in it all the time and absolutely love the cottage! The most important thing for us was seeing how "kid-tough" it really is and knowing it will definitely last a long, long time. However, the headache is in the assembly: A lot of pre-drilling was needed and the pieces were not labeled as shown in the instructions. Although not impossible to assemble, this was definitely more time consuming and frustrating than it appeared at first glance. Overall, super glad we got it and it's worth the hassle over the assembly to see them loving this playhouse!
