It's a great transition bed that is sturdy and looks good in his room. It was fairly easy to put together - my husband didn't grumble much. 2/26/2008 | | | Excellent Bed | I bought this bed for my granddaughter who is 2 after reading all the reviews. As far as the drawer goes, my husband reinforced the drawer with "L" brackets and used a hot glue gun to secure the screws. It's great and very sturdy now. I bought wooden letters and spelled out my granddaughter's name on the headboard which turned out really cute. The drawer is a big disappointment it is flimsy, the hardware does not fit in the pre-drilled holes well.I fear the drawer is going to break soon. We selected the Black Finish it's very nice. I feel this bed is a step up in styling from what is available in current chain stores. My husband said it was easy to assemble and made well for a toddler bed. He assembles part time for a childrens store so he knows a lot of product!
