I have one for my 4yr old & my 1 yr old nad they both are great. I have never had a problem with installation (using latch, but have used seatbelt in a relatives car). The seats don't budge at all - maybe 1/4 inch if I didn't push down on the seat when securing it. The harness system has been great with no problems with adjustments. I only have 1 minor issues with this seat and neither is enough to make me think any less of it. 1 - I have trouble reclining the seat while installed & loosened. I typically have to remove that seat to adjust the recline. But.. its probably supposed to be done that way.
2 - you have to unscrew the back to take the cover off. This can be a pain (espeically if your child got sick while sitting in the seat) but its no big deal and takes aobut a minute.
Overall a great seat - love it. | | By: Tampa, FL 12/6/2007 | | | AWFUL! | We ordered two of these carseats for our 8-month-old twins and sent them back. I am a teacher and my husband is a firefighter/paramedic. Although we are two intellengent adults, we had a very difficult time installing this seat, and when we did, we could tip it over with a light push of our hand. The knobs to adjust the harnesses were sticky and pushed up against the LATCH device in our Toyota Tundra.
We read multiple reviews of this car seat and since it was tied with the Britax Roundabout with Consumer Reports safety ratings and $70 cheaper, we thought we would try it. Big mistake. They're bulky, clunky, and very poorly made. They install tighter with the LATCH system, but since we have twins, one of the seats had to be installed with a seatbelt. That was the carseat we could literlly push over. Please do a lot of research and try this seat out before you purchase. Although the Britax is more expensive, it's definitely worth the money. After all, it's hard to put a price on the safety of your child (or children, in our case). Thank you for reading our review. We want to save other parents the hassle we had to go through. | | By: Jamie Johnholtz 8/24/2007 | | | Write your own review and start sharing your opinion with others. | | |
