Today's Baby Sarasota Convertible Crib

I bought this crib a few months ago and it's been great. It was easy to assemble. The crib looks very elegant and compares to the more expensive sleigh designs. I liked the conversion rail that is included with the crib. Most other cribs require an additional order for that. The crib is very sturdy and will last for many years.

I bought this crib for my baby who is due anytime now. I love the way it looks! Definately compares to the more expensive cribs out there. I was also very impressed that with the ground shipping it took such little time to arrive and there were very minimal nicks in any of the wood. Unlike many of the reviews I read on different cribs, the trundle drawer is very sturdy and not falling apart at all. The only thing I would suggest to the manufacturer is to label the wood somehow to make assembly a little easier. Overall very nice product and price!

This is a beautiful crib and is just as nice as the $400 crib I was going to buy. Putting it together, on the other hand, was a pain. Just have plenty of time to spend. I'm great with stuff like this and it still took me almost five hours. I did do it by myself though.

The crib is really sturdy. The wood is beautiful and strong. The price is totally worth the quality. The only thing the espresso color is not espresso at all. I still give it 5 stars though.

i love the crib it is very nice. Im 9 months pregnant and cant wait to use it.the only thing is that it take about 2 hours to put together and the instrutions need to be more clearer. also they could have put an extra coat of stainer so that the color really shows more. its worth the money and took 2 days to arrive. I will write another review about the crib after the baby is born. be careful and read the directions carefully

EXCELLENT QUALITY AND PRODUCT.

My husband and I just purchased the crib about a week ago. It arrived quickly. I'm 35 weeks pregnant and I put it together by myself. It was very easy. It took some time but as long as you're patient it's not a stressful challenge. The color is very rich and goes great with everything in the room. I would recommend this product to any expecting couple!

I ordered this crib for my daughter, that i and my wife are waiting in a month, on Wednesday night and on Friday morning we already received it. VERY FAST DELIVERY. It took me an hour for assembly and we are very happy with this crib. Thanks

I like this crib but found it did not fit together properly. One corner of the crib's support piece for the mattress does not attach well. It's like having a car with a bent frame. One door just doesn't shut right. Other than that we like it. Cherry is a great color.

Once completely assembled, this crib looks great. We did have to contact customer service a few times, though. They are extremely nice, but I had to call a few times to resolve issues. We had received an incomplete hardware kit, and the center divider for the drawer apparently was no longer available (they credited me for that). In total, it took 2 months between my order and when all issues were worked out. Being as overly-prepared as I am, I ordered this when I was 19 weeks pregnant, so our baby has not arrived yet, but we have a gorgeous nursery set up for her. As far as appearance, the black is a beautiful true black and the crib is very sturdy (even in the opinion of my carpenter husband). It took him about 2 hours total to assemble the crib. There were a few nicks in the finish, but I did not try to send the pieces back for this (we just touched them up) - I'm sure our baby will scratch and chew on the crib, so it wouldn't have been perfect for long anyway. If you have a little time to spare, this is a great product to buy.

We bought this crib again for our second son in black. We wanted dark brown but they were not in stock. We are soo glad we got the black one because the paint finish was so much better than the finish on the stained crib. The first one was supposed to be dark brown but was actually more cherry. The finish on the stained crib was uneven but we loved the style. The 2nd crib we got in black was fine but had scratches that we had to touch up. Both cribs came with scratches. I would suggest Baby Age include a touch up kit when they send the cribs (I called Baby Age asking for touch up paint and there is nothing like this available). For the price and the look this is a great crib! Just be ready to touch up a few imperfections if you like things perfect. Again I looked and looked at other cribs and could find nothing that I liked better than this design and knowing it was a solid crib we decided to order another one for our newborn (we just were prepared to get it with some scratches). This second time around there was a part missing that we are supposed to get in a few days. We were able to put the crib together and use it its just the facing of the drawer that was missing. Again I recommend this crib, just set your expectations right. It is beautiful and well built the only issue is with the scratches and uneven stain, but for the great price we will deal with those. I also want to add that every time I have called customer service they have been MORE than helpful with any issues! For this reason we are and will continue to be repeat customers.

This crib looks awesome and is super sturdy, but it was the biggest pain in the butt EVER to assemble! Some of the side pieces were a little warpped (and don't even TRY to think about returns--you'd have to send back the whole thing and wait!) so I had to bend it with my leg and try to assemble the pieces around it. I was a contortionist! It took me hours and hours, and I've assembled plenty of cribs before! Also, the drawer pieces don't fit together well and the drawer keeps falling off its tracks. I highly recommend a chew bar on the edges--my baby gnawed off the dark stain on one side.

The crib is really nice looking and is put together pretty easily. The only drawback is that it arrived in a box that was pretty torn up and the crib had a few dings that will need to be touched up with paint. For the cost of shipping ($10) it's almost hard to complain. So far we really like the crib.

This crib was purchased for us as a gift. It seems to be a solid, nicely made crib, however, we've been working on Step 4 in the instructions for almost 2 weeks now. (The crib is still not completed!) When we took out the side/end panels, we discovered that they were so badly warped that they wouldn't slide into the grooves on the legs. I called to find out what to do and the BabyAge customer service rep was friendly and helpful. She made arrangements to have new parts shipped to us. Unfortunately, we only received one piece when we needed two! (I had even explained in detail to the rep that both were warped. Apparently, she only ordered one. ) This weekend, after opening the box and discovering only one end piece, I had to call them back and ask them to send another piece, so we can finally finish the crib. They said they'd send them immediately. Hopefully we'll have them by next weekend so we can move on to steps 5+!

The color of this piece is good and solid as I expected it to be...I ordered it in Cherry. My baby being due any time now, I needed a quick delivery and that's what I got with BabyAge. Placed order on 9/21st Sun and received it Thu 9/25th, 08. In comparison, I ordered a dresser from another company on the same day and it hasn't shipped as of today Sun 9/28th. The crib had a couple of minor dings/ Scratches which my have been sustained during packaging or shipping. The package arrived bust open on both short ends of the rectangular box. The clips/stapling is not effective as the UPS handlers may drop package hard and they burst box. It would be better to use heavy glue like on long parts of box. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, but the crib headboards ends were hard to screw on as the wholes were not exactly aligned well enough. That part took my husband and I a little more struggle than the rest of the crib. You may also want to have the electric drill as it proved faster than those manual little tools that came with the crib. For the price, the good looks of the crib, and no shipping charge plus speed of delivery, I would definitely recommend this product to other parents and Baby age as an effective way to shop for their children. Although it depends on each parent's view of a good deal. For instance I didn't shop all my baby furniture from the one company.

I order this bed last Saturday, and got it within a week! I put it together by myself, being 34 weeks pregnant, and it is so beautiful! It is REALLY sturdy, and comes with the tools to put together, plus the rails to make it a toddler bed! I am soooo happy that I found this crib!

I received my crib very quick, it was shipped on a Friday and I got it here in Ontario that Monday! My husband and I really love the crib, it's very sturdy and even though the wood isn't labeled, it's very easy to assemble. If it wasn't for the few nicks in the wood (2 in which stand out a little), I'd give this crib 5 stars. In the end, it's a very attractive crib, very sturdy, easy to assemble, quickly shipped, and a great product!

This crib is pretty, good quality, price and easily for assambly. The bad thing, we ordered on espresso, it is not espresso finish, not even chocolate. Some discrepancies on the assambly instructions (matress support and stabilizer bars section)

Can anyone tell me if this crib comes with the bed rails to convert it to a regular size bed or do I need to buy them separetly?

THIS IS A NICE CRIB ALTHOUGH IT TOOK FOREVER TO RECIEVE. AT PURCHASE IT SAID IT WOULD TAKE 10-14 DAYS TO SHIP OUT. I THOUGHT IS WAS A GREAT TIME. IT TOOK ABOUT 6 WEEKS TO RECIEVE. TRYING TO CALL TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE IS A PAIN AND PLAN ON BEING ON HOLD FOR ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES. AT ONE POINT I WAS TOLD THE CRIB SHIPPED OUT, I NEVER RECIEVED IT. SO I CALLED AGAIN AND I WAS TOLD THAT IT NEVER SHIPPED OUT AND TO WAIT ANOTHER 10-14 DAYS...IT TOOK LONGER THAN THAT. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDS WORK. THE CRIB ITSELF COULD A LEAST BE LABELED SO YOU CAN PUT IT TOGETHER EASIER BUT OVERALL ITS A PRETTY NICE CRIB. IT SUCKS THAT THE WEIGHT LIMIT IS 50 POUNDS....BY THE TIME YOUR READY TO HAVE A TWIN BED YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO BUY A NEW BED ANYWAYS. IF YOU ORDER THIS CRIB MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO WAIT. THE ONLY THING WRONG IS THERE ARE SOME SPOTS NOT PAINTED, LEAVING A RED WOOD BEHIND. BUT IT WILL WORK.

Aside from some of the nicks in the woods and uneven stain color tone, this is a sturdy and good value crib.

I ordered the espresso crib. It took 6 weeks for the crib to be delivered. The crib is a very nice looking and sturdy crib although it is not espresso. The color was more of a cherry.
