| | Description of Eddie Bauer High Back Booster Seat with LATCH | | | Eddie Bauer High Back Booster Seat with LATCH One of the key features of the High Back Booster Seat with LATCH is the LATCH system. LATCH is featured on just about every new car seat. The anchors from the car seat attach to anchor points located near the seat belt buckles in the backseat of every new car starting in 2002. The LATCH system is the safest way to secure a car seat. For up to 40 lbs. the Eddie Bauer Booster uses the harness. After that the booster can be used as a belt positioner. The High Back Booster Seat with LATCH from Eddie Bauer is one of the few car seats using LATCH and seat belts. It is slightly different than the Summit High Back Booster. The Summit accommodates a child to 100 lbs. instead of 80 and features a 4 harness height adjustment compared to the High Back's 2. The High Back requires rethreading while adjusting the harness and the Summit High Back does not. It is a kid friendly car seat which is a bonus because after all it is children that ride in them. With a generous weight range of 22-80 lbs, the high back is perfect for any sized child. Combined with the typically luxurious Eddie Bauer fabric, the High Back Booster Seat is a great ride with great value. | |

| | | User Reviews for Eddie Bauer High Back Booster Seat with LATCH | | | Write your own review | | | DO NOT BUY! | After buying a newer version of this car seat in Feb of this year, I came to find out through a car seat safety expert - Cosco has the lowest rating for safety there is. This car seat is so top heavy that in a car without LATCH it can tip to the side, which happened to me while my daughter was in the car!!! | | By: Amber, Broa, MN | | | No Problems! | I have not had the problems with this car seat that everyone has complained about. It is a pain to take apart and clean if there is something spilled. I own two eddie bauer car seats and have not had a problem. I would have to say that I prefer Britax but they're really expensive when you have a large family | | By: Stefanie, Iowa | | | Wonderful seat! | This is a great carseat for a decent price! I bought this seat for my 2 yr old daughter last fall. I had a Evenflo Triumph and we were going to be going on a plane trip and didn't want to lug the heavy seat around....this seat is nice and light! My daughter loves it and was totally comfortable on the first 5 hr flight and the second 6 hour flight. We even used it in the terminal as a place for her to sit! I have had no problems installing it securely either in the airplane or in any of our cars, with or without latch. It does not budge not one inch and doesn't seem to be top heavy if installed correctly as some other consumers have stated. I do agree that it is a pain if you have to take the cover off to wash, but its no big deal. We love this seat! | | By: Mollie, Orlando, FL | | | Great!!! | I bought this carseat for my son three years ago and have had no problems. It's easy to clean and easy to install if done correctly. This seat was involved in a car crash and protected my son. For that reason, I will be buying another one just like it. | | By: n/a 9/18/2006 | | | consumer reports recommends | I recently did a lot of research and found this seat to be the ONLY carseat/booster (combination seat) which consumer reports recommends AFTER crash testing. They had a problem with the seat belts slipping in the booster seat mode in the 2004 model, but were redesigned. Consumer Reports, as I found, is the only independant organization which does crash testing, except the government.Cons Rep. also recommends the Cosco Summit high back booster, but the Eddie Bauer did a little better in crash testing. So rest assured, if you are using a newer model of this seat. I plan to purchase one as a second seat. | | By: jennifer 11/13/2006 | | | Write your own review and start sharing your opinion with others. | | | | | |
