The Eddie Bauer convertible car seat is for children up to 100 lbs. It is one of the few convertible car seats which can take the child from the hospital to the first day of school. The EPP foam in the headrest is designed for energy absorption in case of an auto accident and is exquisitely padded for comfort. The adjustable head pillow provides extra toddler and child support while the infant head support provides added comfort for a smaller baby.   LOVE IT.... - first time mom

I love this car seat!!!! My son is 8 months old and he is very comfortable in it. it allows him to have room to spreed out and not feel so restained loike other car seats. Love it, love it, love it!!!

  Terribly hard to install, too many pads - quitefrustrated

We couldn't figure out how to install this seat - after reading all the instructions. We took it in to a car seat tech. and two of them (one was an instructor, one a senior checker) worked on it for almost an hour. The LATCH strap was routed for FF but we needed it for RF and it took FOREVER and and a couple of broken nails to get it routed correctly. It did not install well with the base, so we took it off. The LATCH strap did not pull tight very well, and it was nearly impossible to get the correct angle for install. Also, there is too much useless padding in this seat. The kid hardly fits with it all in there. The head support is hard to remove (requires removing harness). It is just too much. If it was this hard for us, with two car seat technicians helping, it would be very easy to mis-use it with no help. There are better seats for the money.
