Comfortable and Safe
- Diane, San Diego I bought this car seat because it was able to go from rear facing to forward facing to a booster, and it looks nice. I spent many minutes trying to figure out how to take the fabric cover off and ended up having to use a screw driver to pop the plastic caps that hold the fabric on the plastic frame! It was a big hassle to take the infant headrest off and extremely difficult to remove the bottom latch! However, it was very easy to adjust the straps and to install. It has soft padding for my baby's bottom and back. The headrest adjusts easily which is very convenient and the reclining option is also easy to operate. Two arm rests are so cute. The car seat is rather large if you have a smaller vehicle. I drive a Lexus RX and it fits just fine.
Comfy for Baby, Hassle for Everyone Else!
- JoAnn, Albertville, AL I guess this seat is great for baby. My son seems to love his car seat and seems to even sleep comfortably in it. The seat is fine for me until I have to move it or wash the cover. There is a cup holder and a pillow that are attachments for this seat that have no real purpose for me other than littering my vehicle. The seat looks good, etc. and it seems ok. I just don’t have anything to compare it to and if I did I fear I would be mad at Mr. Eddie Bauer.
Safe
- Tabitha, CA I had an accident about 3 weeks ago. Someone ran me off the highway and I rolled my SUV. This carseat held up unbelievably. After an accident, you have to dispose of your car seat. I am spending the extra money, and purchasing this one again. It is well worth the money. I have not been able to find anything else like it. I highly recommend it.
Straps are Twisted
- Mom, Austin, TX I bought this seat for my 7 month old daughter, who is now 2. At first this seat seemed great. The longer I had it, the worst the straps became. They are CONSTANTLY twisted, which is highly unsafe and frustrating. Next, I washed the cover, you have to be some sort of engineer to be able to take off and put it back on. Even though this seat should take her through the rest of her car seat years, we are purchasing the Britax and tossing this one.
They thought of everything!
- Beth, Tampa My son fell asleep every time we put him in the car. When he outgrew his carrier, we went with this model and loved it! I found it very easy to use and could reach back from the front seat and recline him (when in the forward position) with no trouble! I would never consider anything that didn't have the 5 point harness system and while it does take an extra minute to buckle them in, it's well worth it for the protection. Removing the cover for washing is a breeze so cleaning is easy. He has moved on now to the booster seat which doesn't have as many features..we sure miss that recline option!
very disappointing
- Ann, Houston, TX We received this car seat as a gift for our 9 month old baby. The car seat is the worst I have tried. The straps twist all the time, the seat does not recline well, the seat fell on it's side a few times while I was driving (even though I had it properly installed by the Medical Center). My son falls asleep with his head completely flopped forward. I am really upset and disappointed at this seat. We will need to buy a new one. We are considering the Britax car seat.
Long lasting!
- Stacey We bought this car seat for our now 3 year old and we just moved him to a larger seat due to his height (42 inches tall). We have moved our 5 month old son into this one and we still love it! It is nice and large so I feel that my childern are extra safe it it. Other reviews complain about the straps, but they are not a big deal - all car seat straps will twist! Oh and all babies heads will slump over when they sleep - no biggie. We recommend this seat to all of our "new parent" friends and they love it too! 5 STARS! :)
Buying another for our other car
- Shawn, NC I love this car seat, and so does my 2-yr-old. I purchased the car seat when my son was 9-months-old and I have had no complaints for over a year. Unlike the other people who have complained about the straps getting twisted, I have had zero problems. I've also taken the cover off several times due to my son getting sick or a diaper leaking, and I find it rather easy to remove and put back on. I would recommend this car seat to anyone. I am also purchasing this same car seat again for our second car.
Great Car Seat- Especially for bigger kids
- Steve and Aimee We have a two children, a 20 month old and a 4 month old. This was for our 4 month old who is almost 24 lbs!! The seat is roomy even for him and he likes being in it. Easy to buckle him in and adjust all straps (snowsuit to regular clothes), so great value all round.
We did buy this product from babyage and it came in the mail fast and without any issues. I would recommend this to family and friends and we have done so.
Can't go wrong.
