Slots on the sides of the hamper provide useful hand grips so you can easily carry it to the laundry room and the lip on the bottom of the lid keeps it in place and prevents it from sliding off. The lid completely removes if you don't want to use it. The hamper measures 16 inches round by 22 inches tall and the liner can be removed and hand or machine washed (cold water, gently cycle, low or no heat for drying).
