I'm normally a back sleeper, and having to switch to my sides proved more difficult than I thought. I first bought the Boppy brand body pillow at Target, but it was too small and had no structure to it. This pillow has really changed things for me. The first night I had it I slept through the night and woke without pain. Caity April 5, 2012 I am a back sleeper and being pregnant means...well no back sleepin'...with this I guess it tricks me into thinking I'm on my back so that I actually fall asleep! I've slept so much better in the almost week I've had it! My husband likes to prop up on it and my Bichon likes to snuggle in up at the head of it when I'm not it in. Other than that, which is an acceptable sacrifice for me given that she is the pregnant one, it was worth every penny. While you can't purchase a pillow case for this, the description does not say that the COOLMAX cover zips off. We haven't put it through the washer yet, but finding out that it comes off for cleaning was an added bonus. I spent days researching pillows and reading reviews. I decided on the COOLMAX because of the design and the majority of reviews posted here and on other websites.
The pillow is comfortable and supportive. It's not too soft and not too hard. I was concerned that my neck might kink up, but that's not a problem. I'm 5'4" and it fits me perfectly.
The only issue was it needed to be aired out. There was a very strong chemical smell, so I put it outside. It did take some time but the smell is gone.
Also, I read MANY bad reviews about this company. I was shocked, and I have to say that it did make me hesitant to order this product here. But as it seems that even if you go through Amazon.com, the product comes from BabyAge, I decided to go for it.

She was complaining about not being able to sleep. Too hot, pillow positioning, ribs hurting from expanding and laying in uncomfortable positions.
So, I quickly starting looking around for something that would help. I read the reviews on the Coolmax and the regular pregnancy pillow Babyage offers. I was worried about the material, because some of the reviews for the less expensive one said it was not soft enough, and I was concerned if my wife got too hot - hormones etc it would be a waste, so I decided on the more expensive one COOLMAX. In addition, I have had two back surgeries and suffer from chronic back pain, so I tried it out too. I especially like how you can prop it up if you want to sit up in bed watch TV or read. Its nice for that too.
Essentially, she likes it. Has not complained since getting it. I think it is a great product for pregnant or non pregnant people. it does stay cool, it is soft, my wife has been more comfortable sleeping with it and it gave me the support on my back and between my legs that I need to minimize pain. I think I may buy one for myself.

Danielle February 22, 2010 This pillow is BIG- takes up at least 1/2 of our queen size bed. BUT, it's worth it! I am about 3 months along and pregnant with our first at advanced maternal age (will be 36 in a few mos). I am of normal weight and health. I have never slept on my sides too much, but found I have to now with a baby bump. When my hips started hurting from sleeping on my sides, my sleep quality went down. This pillow has done away with the hip pain, and feels like you are sleeping in a cloud. I like the back support, and the fact that I can lay on either side without flipping the pillow around the bed in the middle of the night.
