Description

The Auto Close ConfigureGate provides maximum safety for use in any extra wide or odd shaped area when mounting points do not line up directly across from each other. All joints rotate; setting individual sections to the ideal angle, and then easily lock in place for a secure attachment.

The unique handle design on the extra wide door applies Magnet-Lock Technology; a dual magnet design that automatically draws the door closed and guarantees it locks each and every time! The ConfigureGate also employs a Hold Button, allowing the auto close door to be held open indefinitely until it is pushed closed. The original 3 piece ConfigureGate will fit a 6.5' opening immediately; however, additional 9" and 24" sections can be purchased to add to the ConfigureGate to fit any desired length or shape.

Customer Q&A

Anonymous asked: how many sections come with this?
Montana Petersen: Three sections: a 30" w/door, and two others (never measured those). Since the mountings come attached to another bar, the full width is 84", as the KidCo site says. They sell additional 9" and 24" sections. 4/14/2013
Mary Hawley asked: Is this gate held up by tension to wall and does not need hardware
on wall?
Staff Answer: This gate will need hardware when mounted to a wall. The quick release hardware will allow the gate to be easily removed when it is not needed. All joints rotate; setting individual sections to the ideal angle, and then easily lock in place for a secure attachment. Available in both black and white it will be simple to find the perfect gate for you!

Jamie Srolovits: It is not a tension gate. It gets drilled into the wall. I was hesitant to buy because didnt want to put holes in my wall but I'm glad I did. It's a great gate. If you need a gate for large opening its perfect. 4/25/2013
Nathan Bedosky: It does anchor to the wall. We have the stair rail adapter on one end which does not require anything to be anchored, but if you are just attaching to the wall, it is anchored with screws. 4/25/2013
Montana Petersen: As others said, you do need to use screws. If I remember correctly, it comes with a set of wood screws, otherwise you need to purchase drywall screws. The other, smaller KidCo stair gate we purchased came with two sets of screws, one shorter set for wood and a longer set. The stair rail adapter from KidCo would help, check their website for the parts? The quick release on the sides works very well for us so you can take it down and leave the screws in the wall when not in use. 7/20/2013
BabyAge.com asked: Why did you choose this?
Gary Portnay: had one already 11/23/2012
Alisa Fogt: good reviews; fit our stairs. 12/27/2012
