This gate was great for our stairway. We have a very awkward landing at the top of our staircase, in which the banister and wall don't like up. This gate works great for it. The only downside was we were missing a part which helps keep the bottom swing stay in position (Part T in the manual). However, the gate still works fine without it, and is very sturdy.
