This was easy to install and it worked well for all our door openings. My wife had a hard time closing it but now she gets that its easier with two hands to open and close this gate. It feels sturdy enough to stop our son and our 130 pound bull dog. Unless the dog really felt the need to bust through it :) all in all we bought 4 gates and are very happy.

Swings open when you lift and pull you also need to press to release. It has a plastic hinge.
