His parents - my son - have a beautiful new home and I was reluctant to purchase something that did not match their woodwork. I took the chance and purchased the table and chairs in dark wood. My husband was very impressed when he put it together, and my son and wife loved the table. It went well with my grandson's room and he loved playing on his kid sized chair and table. The cost is very reasonalbe for the quality. We were very pleased with the purchase. 5.00 rating I did not receive the package. Ani June 30, 2011 I haven't receive the table and chairs. My husband likes the sturdiness of the table. My son and I love it because we can sit together after school. We use it for everything. We eat snacks at the table, we use it when we color, and we use it when we practice writing our ABC's. I do have to give credit to my son for picking it out. I showed him several pictures of tables to choose from and this is the one he chose. And I think he did an excellent job. We are very pleased with his choice. BabyAge was very prompt on shipping the item too. 3.00 rating Great table but... March 28, 2011 The look of the table is great and solid. However, we ordered the black color and it had rub marks all over that appear red in color. We had a second table shipped that had the same issues. They are very stable.
The finish is beautiful, the only thing that is is so fine that it is a little slippery - when he wears his fleece pants he tends to slide down a little, but it does not bother him - he loves loves them.

Very easy to put together and it is very sturdy. My son is going to love it just as much. I got it in Cherry and the color is beautiful.
