I think the product is very well made. The color was to be "Pecan" which showed to be a darker color than what it is. It looks to look more like varnished pine. Little disappointed in the color, but hopefully it will blend in with the other furniture for my grandson. This "Pecan" is not like I have known "Pecan" to be. It appears to be too yellowish!

We bought this for my granddaughter 3 years ago, along with the Step2 vanity. She still plays with both daily, and it looks as good as it did the day it arrived. It holds most of her toys; and makes it so easy for her when it's time to put her toys away. The lid gives safe and easy access to storage. As with the vanity, it is very easy to move out of the way to clean around, and has no sharp edges or corners. This was worth every penny!

This was fairly easy to assemble, even for a 20 yr. old single mom who's never done such a thing before! It looks exactly like it does in the picture. And it's the perfect size! I don't believe in buying a ton of toys for my daughter just to say she has a ton of toys, and it fits almost all of her toys in it! The bigger ones obviously not so much. I got the pink one and it is absolutely adorable! The safety latch works great and the lid is not heavy at all so it glides up and down effortlessly. It was packaged very well and arrieved with no scratches or dents (just a tiny chip in the paint) but I don't really care about that. My daughter already climbs on it so I would'nt be surprised if theres a lot more chips missing in the future! THANKS KIDKRAFT for a great quality and affordable product!

The toy chest is Great! I'm glad i chose this over the other cheap wooden ones! It's a great size, actually EVERYTING that was on the floor in his room fit inside! The colors are bright and match the racecar theme in my son's room!!
