We were rear-ended last week and my husband and I had pretty bad whip-lash, but the kids were fine. After being hit I immediately turned around and looked at my 3 year old and 17 mo. old and they didn't looked phased. My 3 year old said, "what was that," and neither of them ever made a sound. I am so thankful that we had the children in these carseats. We had originally purchased a Graco car seat for our 2nd child because of the price, but had such a difficult time using it and didn't feel it was as safe so returned them and purchased 2 more Britax Marathons. Britax makes the safest and easiest to use car seats that we have found. It is well worth the extra money!

This is the third carseat that we have gotten since my son was born (he's 6 mos.). He has continued to outgrow the infant seats and so we decided to go ahead and invest in the Convertible Britax Marathon. This thing has so many safety harnesses, I feel sure that if there is an accident, the ONLY thing that would be left is this seat and the seat it is attached to. I can't say enough good things about it. My son doesn't sweat in it like the others, he is snug enough to be safe, yet has enough room to be comfortable. Also, it is approved up to 65 lbs. which is 15 lbs. more than most convertibles. You can't go wrong with this one!

This carseat saved my son's life. We just had a serious accident and our SUV ended up rolling and landing on the roof. My husband injured his elbow and knee, I sustained a concussion and lacerations to my head, hands, arms and legs. My baby, in his Britax Marathon, NOT A SCRATCH, BRUISE OR INJURY. The car seat did not move an inch and he was just as secure and safe as when he was placed in the seat and buckled in. This car seat IS WELL WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY.

We have our marathon for now 18 month old and are now purchasing another for our 2 month old. I have 2 girls in the 90th percentile and they were never comfortable in their infant carriers. I could not go anywhere peacefully with my first born until she sat in her britax for the first time. we are thankful at how it surrounds and protects her as well as how comfortable she is and how incredibly easy it is to install and buckle her in. OH and we get so many comments on how attractive it is. I constantly take it in and out to put in my sister"s van and it is soosososo easy. I worked as a nanny for a decade before I had my own children...of all the seats I have experience with...this is by far the best.

I am an insurance claims adjuster and have spoken to policyholders about this car seat. I've handled claims in which a few of the Britax carseats were used. One customer had a child in a regular car seat and the baby hit her head on the glass. The other child was in a Britax carseat and was safe. The policy holder was so confident in the way the carseat held up! So that proves it is a great buy!
