It attaches using the vehicle seat belt or LATCH anchors, the same way any other child seat does.
Note that it does require an upper tether point, even if you use the vehicle seat belt to secure it instead of the lower two LATCH anchors.

Yes. My husband installed it very quickly so I'm not exactly sure HOW, but I know you need a newer model car- I think it needs to be tethered in the back. The back of the seat is "floppy" as opposed to firm so it needs to be attached. (that's how it folds up nicely for travel). It also installs at the bottom using the latch system. We bought it as a second car seat for travel & it's fantastic for that. Has it's own carrying case & is super light. I'm petite, under 5' and I had no trouble lugging it through the airport w/ 2 toddlers in tow & other carry-ons. I think it's a great second seat. My daughter didn't think it was very comfortable on longer rides (we drove about 1.5 hours from the airport) but she is used to her large & comfy Britax Blvd. I think it's a nice alternative for older kids when you still want them in a 5 point harness, but might otherwise be ready for a booster. Glad we bought it.
