April 10, 2012 I have been quite satisfied with this car seat taking my child from 18 months to age 3, however, I bought it thinking we would be using ALL the features as she aged. The elastic that holds the cover in place started coming apart about a year ago and now it's just so worn and flimsy that I think we just need to replace it altogether! What a disappointment! We are not particularly rough on it, either, I just guess what they say is right: you get what you pay for. My neighbor has a Britax that she has used for 6+ years with her two boys and it still looks GREAT... so I guess you can pay $100 twice for this (once now, and again in 2 years) or just pay the $200 from the beginning for a better seat. I have not installed it in the car yet because we have a local expert whose help I will seek as I would would with any car seat I bought. I foresee no problems with this car seat. She says it is very versatile and easy to use.
