5.00 rating Worth the peace of mind By Anitra Marinchek

We already own two Recaro car seats, one is the Pro Ride and the other is the Pro Sport. We needed another one for Grammy's car. My husband and I considered getting a different brand, but when we compared the prices and the features we really felt that this particular brand of seat had the peace of mind we really want in a car seat. I googled the safest car seat, and this is the brand I found. I am extremely pleased with this seat and all of the safety features as well as the convenience features. I highly recommend this seat to anyone I know in the market for one.

This is a great seat! I feel like my daughter is totally protected in it. I bought 2 seats in 2 different fabrics. I gave only 4 stars because the fabric on the green/tan/brown seat grabs the denim fabric from my daughters jeans and creates blue fuzzballs on the green part of the seat.. If I had to buy them again, I would have bought 2 of the solid gray ones. That gray fabric is so soft and it wears very well.

We already owned a YoungSport, so when our old Britax was totalled (empty) in a collision & insurance told us they'd reimburse for replacement, we didn't think twice. The upgrades in this current model make adjustment even easier. Only drawback is that our GoGo Babyz Kidz Travelmate wheels won't attach to this model when we travel by air, but we'll just use the YoungSport then. Go, Recaro!

This is our second Recaro ProSport (both in gray). We received our first ProSport three months ago (not purchased from Babyage). when the little one out grew her Graco 32 snugride infant carseat We wanted to make sure the ProSport works for our little one, us, and our vehicles before buying a second carseat.
Our 1 yr old seems to enjoy the Recaro and falls asleep easy on it. The husband didn't have any problem installing the ProSport in our cars. We have a 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara and a 1993 M3 BMW. Recaro is designed for European cars but it works well with our Japanese made Grand Vitara (middle and side back seat). Husband did purchase the special LATCH attachments for our cars since they were made prior to LATCH requirement. However ProSport is designed for standard seat belt also (check your vehicle manual). As for me, I find putting our child in and taking her out from the carseat easy.
We chose the ProSport because of the longer term investment as a booster seat. Yes Recaro is expensive, but with promo discount and free shipping with Babyage, it was a good price for a high safety rating, great quality, and good long term investment

I bought the Recaro Pro Sport for my son as he was approaching 40 lbs. I had the Cosco Alpha Omega Elite Seat prior and liked that seat as well. However, that seat was only rated to 40 lbs in the harness. My son is tall for his age and was nearing the weight limit for that seat prior to his 3rd birthday. I was not ready for him to begin using it in the booster mode (as it is rated to 100lbs in that way) so I began my search for another seat. I was looking for a seat with a higher weight harness capability so that pretty much narrowed down my search to about 3 brands (Sunshine Kids, Britax, and Recaro). I read the reviews on ALL of them, talked with people that owned some of them and then ultimately deciced to go with the Recaro. I think the deciding factor was the Easy Adjust no-rethread harness. This is a really great feature. My previous car seat had this as well and it is a feature I was not willing to give up. I was also concerned about the maximum height allowance for the seats becasue my son is tall. I wanted to be assurred that he would not outgrow this one too soon. We purchased 2 seats right away. They were easy to install and DO NOT move at all. I have them installed in a Buick Rendezvous and a Dodge Ram Quad Cab and were easy in both. My son seems very comfortable in the seat and I am very pleased with the amount of head and side protection that the seat offers. I thankfully have not been involved in any sort of accident so I cannot say how it stands up in that way, and I am hoping I never find out, but I do feel that I have done what I can to protect my "precious cargo". I would definitely recommend this seat.

We love Recaro! 2nd recaro for our 2nd daughter. Great investment, and will convert to the booster seat. You know it's good when the parent feels like a little kid getting candy...can't wait for it to come in the mail!! Great price and Google trusted store.

Anonymous asked:
Is this just forward facing?
Thanks,
Thanks,
Cherie Turks:
No it is also rear facing.
Margaret Waller:
No, it can be used rear facing also.
Georgia Abelardo:
Yes.
Lisa Kerns:
The Recaro ProSport Combo Booster is only Forward-Facing (verified on the mfr Website); the Recaro ProRide Convertible is both Rear & Forward-Facing. I currently own the ProRide in Blaze & my 21-month-old son seems very safe & comfortable in it. I am looking to buy a 2nd seat for an additional vehicle, but not sure if I'm ready to turn him to forward-facing yet at this time & was looking for an expanded capacity so I'm not out 2 seats at the same time in the future when he reaches the maximum.
Anonymous asked:
My grandson is 12 mo. old. He is graduating from a Chicco car seat that he's used since birth. Is this the next step car seat?
Corinne Bonner:
It probably too early for your grandson to be facing forward in this. I definitely like a lot but unless he is big (the size of a 18m-2yr) old it will be big. Also they reccomend waiting till 2yrs now before letting them face forward. I bought it for my 3yr old when his little brother needed his other seat at age 1. Hope that helps
Staff Answer:
I would agree with Connie. I think for your next seat, I would go with a convertible car seat. If you like the brand Recaro, I would suggest the Recaro ProRIDE Convertible Car Seat. it is rear-facing from 5-35 lbs. and forward-facing: 20-70 lbs., up to 50" tall. Please feel free to call us at 570-408-0800 and we can help you further.
Tina Hirsch I:
The ProSport is not rear facing therefore would not be suitable for a 12 month old. Children need to be rear facing until at least 2 years old. The Recaro ProRide would be one to look at.
