5.00 rating Big price, big seat, big smile By Stacie Rammelsberg
April 1, 2013
My daughter is a small soon to be 5 year old who was ready to get out of her Combi car seat. I researched several boosters before picking this one. It has a 5 point harness, which I felt was a necessity, and is made with quality fabric. Two cup holders were a big hit with her too. Only complaint is that it is quite large and a bit hefty to tug around, and there is not much reclining position to this seat so she remains pretty straight posture wise no matter how she moves which makes for minimal napping...overall though, a great booster!

We keep our two great nephews, one is 3 and 1/2 years old the other is 9 months. We been using Britax child seats for over 3 years. I have researched all of the competitive products out there and Britax is the Best. They are very sturdy units and gives us comfort, knowing that our great nephews have the best protection possible. They are also very easy to install and remove from the vechicle. Can be done in a couple of minutes, press the release and it is detached.
We received the Booster Seat on the third day without an upcharge for freight. Babyage delivers as promissed.

My son is very tall for his age. This was the only seat that could accommodate his growing height for more than a year. The seat was a little hard to get installed tightly but once in is fine. My son loves the cup holders. Well worth the cost.
5.00 rating I wish I would have found this car seat first. By David Perrotta

I love that I can keep my daughter in a 5 point harness until she's 65 lbs, compared to 40 lbs with other car seats. With the others, you are expected to use the cars seat belt with the car seat being used as a booster seat. My daughter is almost 4 yrs old and almost 40 lbs. She's still way too small for a booster seat, but the 5 point harness with the other car seat was already getting tight with it being fully extended. And she's still small enough that a car seat belt would go across her neck. I'm a paramedic and know what an impact can do to a small child if they aren't harnessed in properly. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a child under 65 lbs. It's so easy to adjust as your child grows. If I had seen this product when we bought our first car seat, I wouldn't have wasted my money buying one that only has the 5 point harness up to 40 lbs.

This is my second frontier 85. Purchased it for my 4 yr old who was getting too big for his Boulevard. He loves that he has the same seat as his big brother.

5.00 rating Great for my tall 3 year old By Jenn

I researched all types of boaster seats & this one seemed to have the best reviews and feedback. The boaster seat is big, heavy in a good way. Very sturdy. My son loves it! I can say that it is not like our Britax car seat, he can't really rest his head when he falls asleep. Safety is our number one concern and it seems Britax focused on that the most. We are very happy with the new boaster seat over all. It is bigger and heavier than our Britax car sear, however it does seem to leave a lot more room. It's not as tight in the back anymore. Our car is not big at all, we drive a cadillac CTS so we thought the size of this boaster seat was going to be a problem, but I am thankful it was not. Our son is not even 3 yet and he is 43 inches tall, it seems he will fit in this boaster for a long time. We love it! :)
5.00 rating Upgrading from Decathlon to Frontier 85 By Dawn B
December 13, 2010
We needed a caraway with a 5 point harness for our almost 4 yr. old daughter. I hated the lack of support and safety in the traditional highback boosters that are used only with the seatbelt..so I did a lot of research and decided the Britax Frontier 85 was the one. We were already huge Britax fans (owned 3 Decathlons)..so we felt this was the safest and best choice. After we received them (I ordered 2)... We were thrilled at all the room, especially with the thickness of a winter coat. I would highly recommend this seat to anyone!
5.00 rating So impressed with carseat! By R. Hill

We upgraded my 2.5 year old son from the Britax Marathon to this Britax Frontier. Wow, I'm so impressed at how sturdy it is, and can just see how protected he is while sitting in it. I love the head protectors, the 5 point harness, and the overall quality of the seat. And knowing that this will be the last carseat/booster we'll have to purchase for him, makes it worth the extra bucks.

4.00 rating My 6 year old loves the roominess By Michael Ohira
September 7, 2010
My daughter was out growing her Britax Boulevard and was thrilled with the cupholders and arm rests on the roomier Frontier 85. The seat sits a little lower making it seemingly easier for my daughter to get in and out. Will likely buy another.
5.00 rating Great Car Seat By Robin - SF Mom
June 14, 2010
I did a lot of research on booster seats as my daughter is 5 years old and very petite - only weighs 29lbs. She is too small to ride in a booster that uses the car seat belt, but she's getting too tall for her toddler seat with the 5-point-harness. This seat solved everything! She can be in this seat for years and be very safe. I had read many reviews about the difficulty of installation.....um, did you read the instructions? I spent about 45 minutes reading the instructions and adjusting the seat to fit my daughter BEFORE I put it in the car. Then it took about 10-15 minutes to get it in the car. She loves it and it's a great seat.

5.00 rating Love this seat By Mom of 2

This was a perfect solution for us when we were faced with buying another car seat after having a second child. I didn't want to buy more car seats just to buy booster seats later on. My 2 year old is tall and fits fine in it using the 5 point harness. Also we haven't had any problems and have been using it about 3 months now. My husband installed it in his Honda Pilot and it fit fine. He had one little glitch installing it, but it was something he did wrong and ended up figuring it out. We liked it so much we just bought our second frontier for our other car.
4.00 rating Great Seat, But Huge and Heavy By Sarah S
May 17, 2010
This seat was our first choice because the 5 pt harness goes up to 85lbs, unlike most other seats that max out around 40-45lbs. It's easy to adjust, well made, clearly comfortable and I feel that our son is safe in it. It's also pretty cool looking (we have the red one).
Only a few complaints - the seat is huge. Very big, so big it doesn't fit in our car seat bag and I'll now have to try and find a new one for when we need to travel with it. Also, because it's so big, it's also really heavy, which coupled with lack of bag so far will make solo travel tough, without help or a skycap.
My only other gripe is that the button to loosen the straps is too far recessed and a little fiddly to find.
These are minor issues really, most of the time it won't be moving from our car and the benefits far outweigh the niggles.

4.00 rating Another Thumbs Up for Britax By Second Britax Family
May 11, 2010
This is our second chair from Britax (first was the Boulevard). The chair weighs a ton, but I like that...makes it seems safe. The seat is very roomy...my child had out grown the Boulevard (she weighs only 50 lbs), so I decided not to wait for the recommended 60 lbs on the Boulevard. I like the side impact. The only reason, I don't give it five stars is that the base slides left to right...since the latch goes from one side to the next, unlike the Boulevard, where each side is latched down.
Customer Q&A
Anonymous asked:
What made you choose this seat over the SICT?
Adam's Inc:
We have bought several expensive car seats, and found all to be good. This one with 2 drink holders, and adjustable head protection is definitely the best we have bought. In fact, we now have two, and are going to buy a 3rd so both of our cars are setup for our 2 kids!
Ida Caruso:
It was the best around at the time. I do not believe the SICT was out.
Janice Vink:
Not sure what the SICT is, however, I chose the Britax 85 Booster Seat because of the high safety rating that it received and also because of the comfort level.
Annette Roddey:
after extensive research, i guess i somehow accidentally didn't get SICT as i also accidentally didn't get the easier off cover for just ~$30 more. i don't know how in the world this happened other than trying to get the best price. it was a long time ago so i really don't even remember about SICT, but i can only imagine it's best to have it. therefore i'm even more disappointed to not have it than to not have ended up with the easier off cover-one of the features that had been impt to me! other than that, the car seat's been fine. now i just have to hope he'll be protected well if we are ever in a wreck! good luck!
Anonymous asked:
I am looking to replace my Britax convertible seat with a booster. I would like to know what would make you buy this one as opposed to the SICT as I am having a difficult time deciding between them?
Staff Answer:
The Britax booster is an excellent choice for your growing child! As a forward facing harnessed booster, it will hold your child from 2 years & 25 lbs, up to 85 pounds, and a belt-positioning booster from 42 - 65 inches tall, or 40 to 120 pounds. The energy absorbing base deforms in the event of a crash to absorb impact forces, while the energy-absorbing foam liner absorbs and distributes crash forces, making it one of the safest boosters. The tangle free, 5-Point Harness with 10 harness height positions (up to 20?) and three buckle positions will ensure a snug and secure fit as your child grows. This seat has a plush premium cover Set with thick foam which provides extra comfort, encouraging your child to stay in the proper position. Integrated armrests will will provide a more comfortable seat, and also have cup holders for your child's favorite drinks. Being so durable and safe, this booster seat is the right choice for your little one!

Amy Norgard:
When we purchased our seat in December 2010, the SICT was not available at that time. Therefore, we did not have a decision to make. I can tell you that we love our seats, we have two Frontier 85... one in each vehicle. They are GREAT! Our 5 yr old daughter loves the space within the seat, upper leg room, arm rests, and cup holders! She never complains about her car seat! We are still using the 5 point harness as long as we can, might as well since she doesn't know the difference yet.
LARA DAVIS:
I am very happy with our decision to buy the Britax I also have the convertible but for the 2nd car I went ahead and purchased this car seat. We are very pleased and our child seems very comfortable. Easy transition.
BabyAge.com asked:
Why did you choose this?
Kathleen Maclean:
The open nature of this seat means I don't have to struggle to get my grand kids in the seat. Also easy to install- don't feel like I'm wrestling a monkey to hook the seat up.
