Britax Boulevard 70-G3 Convertible Car Seat

I love the Britax Boulevard line! So worth the money! I have a boulevard for my three year old, just bought this one for my 18 mo old. He is super happy to be facing forward, and this chair is comfortable for him! This is the safest seat on the market, I couldn't be happier.

So far we are really enjoying our new seat. It was very easy to adjust to my daughter, who is exceptionally long and lean. The ease of installing the seat mostly depends on the style of the vehicle. We installed the seat right before an 8 hour road trip and my daughter kept telling us how comfortable she was the whole way home. The seat has plenty of room for her to grow. The print is very cute and we've already had one accident to clean up, which was much easier than her previous car seat.
If you have an older vehicle make sure you have a top tether anchor prior to purchasing this (and other Britax) car seats. Our car did not have it and we had to quickly have it installed before our road trip.

The Britax Boulevard is a superb product. We purchased this seat for our 1 year old daughter to match the one we already have for our 3 year old daughter... we didn't want the girls to fight over colors or design! I purchased this car seat last year for my daughter. I love it! Its a gorgeous pink with a cute design. Easy to install in the vehicle. Its very comfortable so when your little darling naps. Very padded but wide enough that the child will not sweat. I love how you can adjust the height of the seat as your child grows. I can't say enough good things about this car seat, I only wish I had bought a Britax for my previous children! It's well worth the extra money you spend on this carseat, after all this is about the safety and security of your child.

I purchased the Lauren Boulevard car seat and it has been wonderful to own. The pink pattern is gorgeous and its so easy to adjust. I am a very happy with my purchase. I am now going to buy the extra cover set because mine is getting worn out since I've had it over a year and my daughter has spilt a drink in it.

This is my second Britax Boulevard and it seems even better than the first. It seems a little larger (they are next to each other in the back seat) and even seems a little stronger/tougher/better built. I am not sure if they upgraded them since my last one (that one was purchased in 2007) but it definitely gives me peace of mind. You cannot put a price on safety. I would HIGHLY recommend this carseat.

This is the second Boulevard I have purchased from Baby Age. I love this carseat! It is easy to install and really makes me feel good that my children are in such a safe seat. I am very happy with this product and the service I recieved from Baby Age.

Can't believe I purchased this seat at such a low price. I considered it a high quality seat! Color matches both our gray car and our tan car. really love the head wings. it's so sad when i see other babies fallen asleep in their chair with their head slumped over and crooked.

The only downfalls to this carseat (besides the price) is that it was rather challenging to get into my car (2006 Chevy Impala). The base of it is wider than I thought and it was difficult to get it to fit between the buckles on the seat. The manual says that it isn't meant for some vehicle models so that might be worth looking in to. The other downfall is that my daughter is in the 75% for height and her legs can't be completely straight when the carseat is rear-facing in our truck.
My daughter really likes it and her head doesn't fall over when she sleeps in it either!

I purchased two of those car seats for my twins, after trying and returning the Britax Diplomat one. The Britax Diplomat is the perfekt car seat for smaller babies and I was happy with it, but it can't be used for long time. The babies would outgrow it very quickly. The Britax Boulevard looks exactly the same, just bigger.
I didn't give 5 stars just because the head support is too wide for my 10 month old babies and the head falls very uncomfortable to the side while sleeping. The head support on Britax Diplomat is shorter.

My wife and I always use Britax (3 kids) - great product and we think better than any other car seat on the market.

I bought this carseat for my grandson that is turning one next week. I love it. Large but fits into my sons Accord. Easy to change heights by turning knob on the side unlike other carseats you haveto take out and pull straps through. I will be buying 2 more of these soon. This will be the last carseat brand I will ever buy.

It is everything I hoped for and I only have one complaint. Where it fastens in the crotch area is not roomy enough. My daughter is small compared to other kids and it always feels like it is too tight in the crotch area no matter what adjustments we make. That is my only complaint! I almost want another carseat just because of that, but I love this one so much I am torn on what to do!

My husbandd easily installed the car seat into each of our cars. It adjusts easily, very solid. Although its a closeout color, who will know!!

The Boulevard is a great seat in both looks and safetly. My son is very comfortable in his seat and I can be comfortable knowing that he is in one of the best carseats if we are in an accident. The seat is easy to put in and out of the car and the harness is easy to adjust. I couldn't be more pleased.

I've only had my 7 mo old in this once so far. It was easy to put him in and he seemed comfortable

very sturdy made underneath and the cushions are soft for the baby. The snaps are alot easier to close than the baby carrier we had. Since this is a close out you may not have this concern but the color shown is not what we received. It is not red but pinkish mauve. However we are still happy with the product.

This is our 2nd Britax Boulevard for our other car. I looked for a alternative but there is nothing out there that I feel comfortable putting my son in but the Britax. I am not willing to put my son's safety at risk for $100.00. Thanks Britax!

excellent car seat. baby's head doesn't slump over quite as much when sleeping. easy to install with either seatbelt or latch system. great cushioning around the head, and the back insert cradles baby well which can later be removed when baby gets too big. it takes them all the way from the time they are out of the infant seat to the time they are big enough to switch to a booster seat. easy to wash - everything comes off and can be thrown in the washer and dryer. i have experienced other car seats and feel much safer with my child in this one. a bit pricey, but worth every penny.

Britax Boulevard is a wonderful car seat. Not only the crash ratings are great but also it is very comfortable. My child, who hates sleeping and never sleeps in the car, falls asleep as soon as we get on the car; it is that comfortable.

I was looking for Britax Boulevard seat for some time, as it has high weight and height limits. I was glad to find this seat at such a low price just because it has different fabrics - which is very nice. And it is not old at all, mine was manufactured in March 2009 - just 4 months before the other I bought with newer fabric. I wanted to have two different ones in each of my cars. The seat is pretty wide, and in one of my cars - Honda Civic, once installed at the center seat, it takes more than one person space...so it is a bit large for Civic but it is comfortable for my daughter. Installation is easy. It take no more than 5 minutes to reattach and secure the seat if needed.

We love this carseat! Britax is the BEST! The True Side Impact wings are wonderful. I knew I wanted a Boulevard for my daughter and was so excited to find such a great price from BabyAge! The Madison pattern is beautiful. My daughter seems comfortable in it. She likes being higher up to look out the windows. It's rear-facing till 35lbs for us! That's the safest! Thank you BabyAge!

Great car seat. Easy to install and clean. We got our first Boulevard for our son. I've washed the cover pretty much once a month...after two years, it still looks like new. Now that we're expecting our second, we went ahead and bought the same car seat...in pink this time!

Haven't used it yet but when i bought this the deal was too great to pass up. Baby is still too small to use this. Material feels really soft and comfortable so i'm sure our baby will love this seat. All my coworkers have this seat and love it themselves.

Great carseat! I highly recommend this carseat. I have a Britax for both my kids and they love them. Fits well for babies rear-facing and forward-facing. Also very durable so it'll last as long as you need it to.

We love this carseat...it's our second Britax (the first is a Marathon). The only thing I'm not 100% on is the lock offs for installation with the shoulder/lap belt. It just doesn't seem as secure...seems like it would come loose easily.

Well i must say the price was a motivating factor for me buying on impulse. I did do research on this seat months ago but was ot in need of at the time. When I saw the deal that was going on i just clicked away. The seat is very nice. Very cushy. Daughter fit in it nice and she looks like sheis enjoying being front facing. The safty anchor buckles are realy cool. The ones that latch in the seat. They are like a seat belt clip very easy to clip. In my car ( Honda CRV 08) they were a little hard to get clipped but it was the cushion design of the car not the seat. I would tell anyone to buy this seat. Its worth it at whatever price you get it.

Highly recommend this car seat. The colors are much nicer in person. The yellow is a bit brighter than the picture. The price is fantastic!

I bought a Britax car seat 12 years ago for my son when he was a baby - and I have bought it again for my 8 month old daughter. This model is fantastic. Lots of protection, comfort and practical too - easy to clean. It is a no brainer whether to buy it - if your budget will allow - and it will last a very long time.

I was in an accident on 7/3/09. I was rearended and then flew into the car in front of me. I immediatly turned to my 18 month old who was with me and he wasn't even crying. I ran around to him and he wanted the pacifier that flew out of his mouth and that was it. He didn't even move very much and he didn't ever get sore either. I owe my child's safety to this seat and due the wreck I had to purchase another car seat. I went right back to babyage.com and ordered the same exact seat, just different color :) I am so happy with the car seat and the stability it provided my child. I will ALWAYS use Britax!

Not bad to install, looks comfy and safe..but way too expensive. I caught it on sale, so I'm not complaining...but there is no reason this seat should be THIS pricey.

Our 3 yr old granddaughter is long and lean, so I wanted a harness, not just a seat belt..and she wanted flowers..so we have a perfect match. She is secure and comfortable. I will definitely recommend this brand to my friends who all have grandparent carseats in their vehicles.

This is our 2nd purchase of a Britax Boulevard. We loved the one we bought for our 1st child, so it was no question that we would get another one for our 2nd child!

At this price, it's well worth it choosing this pattern. It's a little feminine, but not to the extent of all the pink you find out there. Highly rated by CR, also.

This is even better looking in real life. The boulevard is by far an away the best car seat I have ever put my hands on. My husband and I drove all over the place looking at car seats after we checked the ratings. This seat feels so much more substaintial than other car seats we put our hands on we just had to get. The material quality of a britx is so much better than EVERY other brand it is joke. The premium you pay is worth it. I would like to make a note though. The manufacturer says you can put a small child in it, but our daughter is 20 lbs, and 28" and she barely fits this seat. I would not put a smaller child in it than she is.

I thought my wife was nuts for wanting to spend that much money on a carseat, but after reading testimonials on Britax.com I had to have this carseat. The boulevard installed easily, looks beautiful and seems very comfortable for my daughter. I would recommend Britax, and Babyage, to anyone.

I really like this car seat. The seat is nice and wide for the my daughter to grow and the back pad in removeable for her to sit more comfortablely as she gets longer. She is only nine months but it fits her perfect. Its also light enough to change from car to car as needed. The reclining quality is perfect as she faces the rear. Fit wonderful in my nissan Altima.

I've waited about 6 month to comment on this car seat. Well constructed with safety in mind. Its easy to transfer from one car to another. The material is easy to clean and we've had a few things spilled on it. There are cheaper seats out there but you get what you pay for.

This seat is ver easy to install because of the locking clips on the side that just flip open and snap closed. Much better than fussing with those stupid metal locking clips for infant seats. Shoulder strap adjustment is super easy and the harness is padded everywhere so it is very comfortable. Padding in the seat is cushy and my girls did a long road trip (27 hours) in these and slept great. Very worth the money for an easy to use, super safe seat. One thing to know is that this seat is very big and quite heavy. We have a van and it fits in our two captains chairs rear facing just barely. Check your vehicle to make sure it fits.

Great seat. My daughter hated her infant carrier, but loves riding in the car in this seat! We've had it for two months. I had issues installing the tether anchor at the top because our car is a 1999 VW Passat retrofitted with LATCH but no tether anchor point (and Britax and VW both were of no help). The install with LATCH was so tight that I'm not concerned about needing to use the tether anchor after all. I love the side impact protection since we have a car - not a minivan. Great seat!! I'd buy it again!

We have the 2006 version of this carseat and just bought the 2009 Madison for our new daughter in August. We loved the old one and just received this one, which we love even more. Shipping was quick and are happy with our product and price paid.

I've been shopping for a britax for a while. This was on the top of my list and when I saw it at only $206 I jumped at the opportunity to buy it. It says it has a DOM of 2008 BUT I was pleasantly surprised when it showed up only two days later and the DOM is actually feb of 2009!! I'm sure that we'll get plenty of use out of this seat. I love it, love the pattern, love the ease of use/installation, love the price... Well worth it!!

Hello. I just wanted to share how I am so very impressed with this carseat's aesthetics. I had read where someone said the photos were deceiving and I called another store, only to have a man tell me it's real bright. I'm thinking hot pink but decided for the price, I'd deal. It's nowhere near hot pink, colors are more muted like desert toned and will work perfect in my car. If you read the ratings, this and the Blvd CS are top rated and worth every extra penny spent on the safetly of your child. I also found out that this is a 2008 model and there only difference between it and the 2009s are the fabric choices, the safety base is the same.

Tomorrow we're having the carseat installed and I'll come back to review how it works with my child. I did go to Babies R Us and tested it out in my car before buying here.

My daughter who is 15 months loves it and all she wants to do is sit in it right now. My other carseat matches my car and to be honest, the darker colors still shows plenty of crumbs.

Last plus, I'm in New York and received the carseat in 2 days!! Paying $9.95 flat rate & no tax worked better than another site that offered free shipping w/tax. ;^)

I had a peg perego infant seat until my daughter turned one...I loved it and thought it was the best. Until I installed the new britax..doesn't even move..not even a little bit. It installs in a minute or two..easy easy easy. The safest there is. Spend the money, it's worth it...buying a second one for the other vehicle today.

This was a fantastic buy! I have one for my 7 month old child and it is so easy to get him in/out of. I feel very comforted by the reviews I've seen on this carseat. It is a lot more expensive than some of the others out there but when it comes to the safety of my child, it's worth the money. I am planning on buying another one for our other vehicle at the end of the month. I would highly recommend this seat.

Have had the boulevard for 2 years now, our son is a TALL 2 and a half. Its larger than his sister's diplomat, and seems GREAT with the side panels, etc. Will keep it around when his sister gets bigger, and graduate him to a booster, but otherwise, he could stay in it for a long time.

Britax really makes a quality product. The plastic on this seat is much thicker and therefore durable than even the more expensive competitor seats. The latch system is amazing. It is a breeze to pull the seat in and out of the car. I don't dread it like I do with my other one. It is EASY to install tightly. This seat always installs tighter than my others have in the past. It has nice side impact protection, and it is the most comfortable seat with it's wonderful, above average padding. The buckle RARELY twists. Think it may have happened once in over a year. It always stays in the same position. The top adjusts to height without taking the carseat out of the car too. There is a pad for the snap buckle as well, which makes it more comfortable for my boys. The chest clip also stays put. My kids don't mess with it as there is a rubber piece on the sides that prevents it from easily moving. Great engineering and design, Britax. When I have money, I will buy another one. They are expensive, but worth every dime. I have no complaints about this seat. It makes me feel that I have done my best as a parent to protect my child.

Get this seat right away and don't waste money by first buying other models. We had a travel system with a basket and base - Miriam grew out in no time; then two Britax Roundabout (for 2 cars) - good for 12 months - now the Boulevard -- get the Boulevard right away and keep it until your kid reaches 60 lbs.

If you cannot afford it - save somewhere else - not on security; don't even think booster seat - you want the 5 straps! Even the briefest ER visit costs more than the seat!

The only real alternatives are: don't drive or don't have kids - seriously. If you have the space in the car you may want to get the Marathon which is even bigger.
Eat potatoes for a month - but don't save on the car seat.

The Boulevard is the most awesome convertible car seat. I love it as much as my daughter. I can get her in and out quickly because the harness straps are so easy to adjust, and I love that they don’t get all twisted like with other car seats. The side impact protection feature is fantastic, because she can sleep without her head rolling around.

We bought this particular carseat last week and it arrived yesterday. The pics are slightly decieving. Besides that, the carseat was SO easy to install. I have a Nissan Altima, and there was plenty of room to install it rear facing in my car. Users manual stinks with description, but it is easy enough to figure out. Make sure to check the specs of your auto maker of where to put the car seat. You will find the info in your users manual.

I was in a car accident last night. We were going 45 mph and slammed into the front of another car. I walked away with a cervical strain, a concussion, and several bruises. My 10 month old son walked away without even a minor cut or bruise. I am so thankful I spent the money on this carseat. It literally saved my son's life.

After doing through research on convertible carseats I determined that this one was the best. It is wonderful, my daughter is so comfortable in it. I wonder after reading other reviews if we are talking about the same carseat, it was easy to install, in the middle of my VW Passat, and my 6'4" husband can still put the seat where he needs it, it is very easy to get her in and out of the car. I am not sure how it hold up in accidents and I hope I never find out, but I hear from others that it's great. Buy this seat...it's well worth the money.

I bought this for my daughter and was beyond pleased! It was easy to install, so much nicer quality than her previous seat, and far more comfortable! When she falls asleep, her head just tilts slightly to the side and I know she's safe and comfortable! No slouching! I plan on buying the exact same one for my daughter due in January!

I bought this seat after doing some research online and reading on consumer report that it was the best one out there. It is a great, however make sure you have the space for it. I have a big SUV and yet I had to install it on the side seat. On the middle seat, it obscure my rearview and make it difficult for side passangers to lock their own seat belts. The base for this seat is very wide.

I LOVE this car seat. My 8 month old son is comfortable riding and sleeping in the seat, and it is easy to install. My one caveat is its size for travel. It is so deep, especially in the rclined position, that I couldn't get the base of it to sit in the airline seat. The base was only halfway on it. It was strapped in, but the result was the seat was so far forward that there was only 2-3 inches between the seat and the tray. That means I could never use the seat to travel with a toddler, because there would be no place for his feet to hang down. I plan to contact Britax about this, because it seems so silly - perhaps I strapped it in incorrectly.

This is the only car seat with the side impact protection built into the seat itself. My baby's head is truly protected in case of a side impact collision, and not ony that, when he falls asleep (he's now 20 months and 30lbs!), his head doesn't flop over onto his chest, he can rest it on the side head flaps.
Truly an awesome car seat!! Worth every penny...and more - after trying owning this seat for over a year, I absolutely DO NOT understand why the Marathon gets the popularity ratings when the Boulevard is not THAT much more expensive, but is SO much better!.

PLEASE consider this before you read customer reviews and purchase a car seat: I had purchased the Britax Wizard trusting both the Britax name and the independent reviews of various consumer report agencies; however I learned first hand yesterday the credence and invaluable worth of a child's car seat. Like much customer review might indicate, after purchasing our Britax, I found the side impact construction to be restrictive on our son's side window view- this is a minute con. We were struck yesterday head on by a vehicle going at least 50 MPH (which never applied it's breaks), forcing our vehicle to slam into 3 trees on the same side our son was seated in the vehicle, afterward our vehicle flipped on it's side and skidded several feet- again on the same side our son was seated, finally it flipped upside down into a gully were it finally came to a stop. Our son was cut free from his Britax car seat while hanging upside down! A horrific ordeal, yes, HOWEVER, our son was release from the emergency room ONLY HOURS afterwards with minor scratches! The state Troopers said they could only stare at the vehicle in amazement as they examined the 6 inches in clearance between the car seat and the crushed roof and the mangled side! We were told that in all the years of experience the Troopers, fire department, and paramedics had that they never witnessed an accident where the occupants survived such a collision- and indicated that our son should have been the first fatality! The car seat was the key- second to only GOD! PLEASE consider the safety factor over the inconvenient view and reports of a low crotch!!!!!!! Without the side safety protection I would not be writing this review to implore you to purchase wisely- I would be making arrangements for our son's funeral- now our family can go back to planning for his 3rd birthday next week!!!!!!!!! I WILL BE PURCASING ANOTHER BRITAX AS A REPLACEMENT!!!! STAY SAFE!

I love this car seat, my son fits great he sits perfect and comfortable, you can see the quality is great...its not a bad price if you think about it because you can use this as infant car seat as well....you'll pay 100 for an infant and about 150 for the toddler so defintley invest in one!!!

I bought this car seat when my son, almost two, was ready to face forward. It is fabulous. I did tons of research and chose to splurge and purchase the Boulevard. It installs in less than a minute and doesn't budge a single bit. Now with our second due in July, I'm getting the Boulevard to use from birth. I can't imagine putting my children in anything else.

I have had this car seat for over2 years now and it has held up like new. Before I bought it I did a lot of research on it. It is the only car seat with true side impact protection. It is the only car seat endorsed by the French government (it is German made). The car seat is large, but if you are realy concerned with your child's safety it is the best.

This is a fabulous car set! You can rest assured your little one is save and secure - and comfortable. It is a big seat for smaller cars. I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and it fit, but was big for that car. I now have an Odyssey and there is more than enough room. Keep this in mind when shopping. But if you want the best, this is the way to go, no questions asked. I purchased the Park Avenue pattern and it is great! Although the pictures on the internet show a greenish/blue color and there is none of that color in the seat, it is mostly gray and tan/khaki - which will match just about any interior out there! I did have concern about the space between the buckle and the back of the seat. My son has been big since the day he was born (1 year old and 27lbs.), but he fits snugly - not too tight or too loose. I think you just have to "break in" the seat so to speak. I hope this helps anyone looking for a car seat!

I needed a new seat for my 3 year old and after looking at many different seats, decided this was the best convertible car seat I have ever seen. Britax is always a manufacturer you can trust for safety. It has more safety features than any other convertible, yet it looks nice, is easy to use, and is comfortable. Since it lasts from 5 to 65 pounds, you'll use it for years! I haven't had to use it rear facing, so I can't say how well that installation works. I've used several other convertible seats, but won't use any other from now on.

We absolutely love this seat. We previously had a Britax Roundabout for my oldest son and like it. We were impressed with the addition for side impact and the roll bar for adjusting the height of the straps. We got this seat as an extra for my husbands car because it will fit all three of our children. We can easily adjust the straps without having to reinstall the car seat for our children ages 5, 3 and 1 or for any of our children's friends. I also like how easy the straps are to adjust. We've used other car seat such as Graco and Century brands and sometimes have difficult getting the straps to adjust. I feel very confident that we use this seat correctly all the time and that all of our children are very well protected by this seat. Plus the side impact pillows are great head rest for when the kids fall asleep.

My infant daughter was growing out of her infant seat, which she never seemed to find completely comfortable. We put my older daughter in a Britax Roundabout in one vehicle and in the Britax Expressway in another vehicle. We found that when my daughter was around 35 pounds, she had trouble fitting in the Expressway seat with the straps while wearing her coat in the winter time. When I spoke with Britax, they said that it was recommended not to wear a coat in the seat, which is not always convenient or comfortable in a cold vehicle. We chose to upgrade my daughter to the Britax Parkway booster, which she has been in since. In order to avoid this same problem with my infant and because we believe it is safer to keep her in a regular five-point harness as long as possible, we decided to try the Boulevard, which can grow with the child to 65 pounds and is easily adjustable. In addition, we wanted the side impact protection. We installed two of these. One went into my 1998 Honda Accord. The other went into my wife's 2004 Honda Odyssey. The one concern I had about this seat is its size. While it is rear facing (mine is currently rear facing), it does stick back a long way. Even so, it was able to fit in the back seat of my Accord and the second row of the minivan. The only issue you might have is that the front seat has to be most of the way up for the carseat to be installed behind it. If there is a regular passenger in the front seat while rear facing, you may want to see if this will work for you. Because in my car I rarely have a front seat passenger it was no problem for me. In my wife's minivan, it has not been too bad for me or my wife to sit in the front, but I'm 5'7

Total Slip Inside Protection makes it one of the safest car seats available today. Great retro and soft faux suede fabric design. Very comfortable for my 10 month old and the height of the seat means our baby can enjoy the view outside(We have a Honda Oddysey). When he falls asleep, his head NEVER slumps forward--which is a common problem with many carseats today.

This seat has all the bells and whistles. Additionally, it has a wonderful head rest that also serves as extra security in the event of an accident. However, we bought it because we thought it would be easier to buckle than the Britax we got three years earlier. Unfortunately, it is much more difficult to fasten and the space in width given to the toddler is too nsrrow. Our child is sure to grow out of this seat long before the manufacturer estimates a child would. Finally, the head rest is a great addition but it is so high that the view from the rear window is substantially limited.

I purchased this car seat with the understanding that it was the best available... Don't get me wrong, its nice... but I prefer the $50 car seat in my husband's car. This seat is huge- there is very little room when placing child in car (medium sized sedan), heavy, and the straps are constantly getting tangled (which I was told NEVER happens when I was at the store I purchase it from), and my son's head is always slumped forward when he falls asleep in it- headrests are for what now? And the choice of colors- well there is not much. BUT: It is more padded than most other car seats, LATCH system is great, parts and covers are very easy to remove and wash. The recline options are great, and it is compatible for flying also.
