The Britax Advocate 70-G3 convertible car seat accommodates children rear facing from 5 to 40 pounds and forward facing from 20 to 70 pounds. The Advocate 70-G3 G3 is purposefully designed and engineered to minimize the forward movement of your child’s head during a frontal impact to reduce the risk of head injury with the following revolutionary Britax head safety technologies:
• Base with SafeCell Technology® designed to compress in a crash, significantly lowering the center of gravity and counteracting the forward rotation of the child seat.
• Integrated Steel Bars strengthen the connection to the vehicle and reduce forward flexing of the child seat during a crash.
• Energy Absorbing Versa-Tether® features a two-point attachment and staged-release tether webbing to slow the forward movement and reduce the crash forces reaching the child.
• HUGS™ Chest Pads with SafeCell Technology® are affixed to the seat shell to ensure proper positioning while SafeCells compress to manage energy and provide resistance to the forward movement of your child in a crash.
The Advocate 70-G3 G3 is also equipped with energy-managing Side Impact Cushion Technology, reducing incoming side impact crash energy by 45 percent by diverting crash forces away from the child and incorporates BRITAX True Side Impact Protection® for three layers of side impact protection. The five-point harness is tangle-free with an EZ-buckle system to retain the harness buckle in a forward position while harness holders that keep harness straps pulled to the sides to make boarding quick and hassle-free.
Additionally, the Click & Safe® Snug Harness Indicator aids in proper harness snugness. Other features include a no-rethread harness and an easy-remove cover that also allows access to belt paths from the front of the seat, while the multiple buckle and recline positions, comfort pads, and infant body pillow provide premium comfort and positioning.

Easy to install, love knowing my son is safe. The only thing I did not like are the straps have a piece of velcro to hold them back but when you strap the child in their arm or wrist rub on the scratchy plastic side of the velcro on the strap. I think these should be reversed...where the softer side of the velcro is on the strap so as to not irritate the childs arm. I did not mind the price as I feel no one can place a price on a child's safety. I got a great deal along with a coupon code I had as well. If you are considering this seat do your research on ratings and costs, also look for those coupon codes and other discounts. It is THE car seat to have!

I had never heard of Britax before until I was researching car seats about a year ago when my daughter was approaching her first birthday (she's almost 2 now). Consumer Reports rated Britax very highly so I looked into them and did some research of my own, bought the Advocate CS and never looked back! I spent about $350 for this car seat but my daughter's life is PRICELESS so it was an easy purchase. I wanted nothing but the best for her and that's what I got. I feel safe with her in the car, knowing that she's well protected should, heaven-forbid, an accident ever happen. Not only that, but she loves it! It's big enough to where she fits comfortably and when she falls asleep, she's comfortable. I recommend this car seat to any parent wanting nothing but the best, and safest, for their child. Spend the extra money for a Britax - over a 3 year period, for me it equaled out to $10.00 a month for my daughter's safety. And to me, my daughter and her safety are PRICELESS! (Plus I got to pick the print - love the pink and brown flowers!)

For all intense and purposes this an updated Britax Wizard which isn't a bad thing. I do find the straps tough to adjust (the click anc lock mecahnism is very tough to pull the strap through). I also find that the height of the seat pad is too high as it hinders entry and exit when placing our toddler in it in our SUV.

We are devoted Britax users and have bought them for our two daughters. We like the safety features and durability. Yes, they are pricey - but they are worth every penny! I recommend them to everyone who asks for a carseat recommendation.

Easy to install, as far as large Britax seats go. Feels safe and my daughter loves it. She didnt complain one bit. Keep in mind this is a large seat, you likely cant use it rear facing in a small car.
