The Britax Frontier Harness-2-Booster boasts best-in-class forward-facing five-point harnessed weight capacity up to 80 pounds and also serves as a vehicle belt-positioning booster up to 100 pounds. Featuring True Side Impact Protection with one-hand adjustable harness height system, Versa-Tether and engineered energy management zones, the Frontier is designed to be the safest high capacity seat in the industry: it was designed to be a Britax. Loaded with comfort and convenience features, such as comfort foam, dual cup holders and armrests, the Frontier is the ideal seat for the child graduating from their convertible car seat without compromising safety. Deep side walls and adjustable head support provide True Side Impact Protection to distribute crash forces, shield from vehicle intrusion, contain the head and body, and minimize side-to-side head movement. Highest five-point harness seat capacity allows children to remain harnessed up to 80 pounds or in booster mode up to approximately 100 pounds. Quick-adjust headrest and harness re-positions head support and harness height effortlessly without having to re-thread the straps. Tangle-free, 5-point harness with 8 harness heights and 3 buckle positions for a snug and secure fit. Premium push-button LATCH connectors ensure a quick, simple and tight installation. Patented Versa-Tether, energy managing top tether, anchors top of seat to the vehicle, reducing movement in the event of impact. Patented HUGS, Harness Ultra Guard System, reduces forward head movement and gently cushions the neck and chest. Color-coded vehicle belt guides indicate the path and positioning of the vehicle seat belt. Can use LATCH while in booster mode. Energy-managing protective foam. Great car seat. The only thing I would change would be the cup holders. They do not seem to work as good as her older seat but I love the seat otherwise. Safety is better than cup holders!

Great car seat. The only thing I would change would be the cup holders. They do not seem to work as good as her older seat but I love the seat otherwise. Safety is better than cup holders!

The Frontier is great. Purchased for my daughter who is very tall -needed the harness, but she is tall enough to move to the booster. She loves her 'big girl' seat. Installation is difficult, but with a little work, we got it in just fine. We only use Britax products in our family- love them!!!

My husband and I own three britax carseats and love them ALL! We just purchased this seat for our soon to be three year old so that his little brother can have his side impact britax seat. (My little one is in the Marathon and just out grew it at 19 months). We bought the Frontier because of the side impact and well, because it is a Britax. I refuse to buy anyother seat because of the wonderful safety ratings the seats earned. Some people complain that it is hard to install, however, reading the directions is a must. The installation is not the same as other britax seats. My husband put it in the second row of my Mazda CX-9 and it does not move. I am pleased with the way it latches into the seat. Remember, you must latch it into the rear latch along with the front latches. In my SUV, the rear latch is under the back of the seat. If you follow the directions, you will have NO problems! My son is truly enjoying his new seat. I highly recommend this seat!

This car seat definitely lives up to the Britax name! I have bought other Britax car seats and they are all top quality and the best you can buy to keep your child safe. Once you buy Britax, you will never buy anything else. The seat arrived in excellent condition from this distributor and on time.

I bought this carseat for my 2 1/2 yr old who used to use the Boulevard by Britax. He LOVES it! We took an 8 hour trip to texas and he didn't fuss once. Very easy to install and tighten the Latch straps too. It was so worth the money to me. If you can afford it and have the room (We have an Explorer and it fit just fine) then I'd recommend it!!!

We just had our second child and didn't want to buy another car seat, just to end up buying booster seats in a few years. We loved that this seat could grow with our child, plus it's a Britax. We've only bought Britax because of it's reputation for safety. It was a little difficult figuring out how to get a tight fit the first time we installed it, but now that we know how it all works it's not such a big deal. It's not the type of seat that easily switches from one car to another though.

We did tons of research and bought this car seat - despite the bad reviews regarding installation. (How hard can it be to install a car seat?) For me the most important thing is safety, and I believe this to be a safe seat - IF YOU CAN INSTALL IT! My husband and I spent several hours on a sunny Sunday trying to install it in our Toyota 93 Land Cruiser, I and could not get it to work. HUGE WASTE OF TIME. The directions are terrible and - as it turns out - it is physically not possible for it to be installed in a Toyota Land CruiserI . Britax should make a list of what cars it works for and what cars that it does not work for.
