We bought this carseat for our 2nd baby. When out first daughter was in infant seats we bought what we could afford at the time. either new or used. Before getting pregnant this time, I was in a car wreck with our 3 year old and it was a wakeup call. My husband and I decided that if there was one item we bought for the new baby that mattered, it was the carseat. I researched for weeks and this was the best by far! Other reviews were always outstanding, and now that we ordered it and received it, we are very very pleased. It puts any other carseat we have used, looked at, or have seen others use to shame. There is no doubt in my mind that this carseat will protect our new baby no matter what happens. We were originally worried about this or any carseat not fitting correctly in our 2005 Honda Element, as we had to use a leveling wedge when our daughter was in an infant seat, but with the adjustable base with this carseat it will not be an issue at all! Plus it feels SSSOOOOO sturdy! I cant wait to use it in a few weeks! We got the "Ella" design and I am very happy with it. I was worried about getting anything that was pink or had light colors due to stains that just seem to come with babies but I dont think we will have any trouble with this pattern!! plus its not gawdy!

We were looking for a nice black and gray car seat, something with simple colors not alot of tacky designs and that is a very safe and comfortable carseat for our newborn and we got exactly what we were looking for, i would recomend this carseat to anyone looking for a simply and safe carseat

I dont know how much it weighs, but it is a pretty heavy carseat. So much so that it discouraged me from carrying it everywhere. In fact I switched to a convertible seat (still with safety first though) as soon as I could just to save my poor shoulders the agony.
