Can't Have Seats Side-by-Side By
August 6, 2009
I bought a Recaro Signo for my 9 month old when his car seat was lost at an airport while we were flying across country. I was extremely pleased with how safe it felt, I mean I can't even get it to move 1/2 an inch now that it is all strapped in. So I wanted to buy one for my 2 year old because his Eddie Bauer car seat just did not feel very safe at all. I ordered it and 2 days later I got it from BabyAge, which I am extremely happy about. I went to install it in our truck and they fit fine side-by-side BUT since the latch clips are so thick on these, they wouldn't both fit on the latch bar. It was about 1/4 inch too small. And this is in a huge truck, Im assuming all latch bars are the same length. So I had to install my rear facing carseat not in the middle seat but behind the driver seat next to the window. I was extremely disappointed in this even though I still feel that these seats are very safe in them selves. I am going to buy a window protector so if God-forbid I was in an accident and the window breaks, it won't get all over my infant.
Excellent Seat (In Midnight Desert ONLY!) By
November 8, 2011
The seat is outstanding, first class, great fit and design. I bought the Black and Grey one first because it looks better but my 5 year old griped about the mesh material on the seat, arms and face area. It was abrasive. Shipping back was too expensive so I asked Baby Age to check Midnight Desert model for mesh. The cover on Midnight Desert is all Microfiber and soft. While it will show dirt more, it was a hit with my kid. So if you kid wears long sleeves and jeans all the time, all three Vivos are outstanding. For everyone else, I can only recommend the all-cloth no-mesh Midnight Desert version.
Great car seat, rock solid install By

We absolutly love this car seat. It fits in rock solid in our Subaru Forester (which are known for being tough to find a good fit). The seat is very well made, super comfortable, with great SIP. BabyAge shipping was super quick. We really couldn't ask for more!

I bought the Recaro Pro Sport for my son as he was approaching 40 lbs. I had the Cosco Alpha Omega Elite Seat prior and liked that seat as well. However, that seat was only rated to 40 lbs in the harness. My son is tall for his age and was nearing the weight limit for that seat prior to his 3rd birthday. I was not ready for him to begin using it in the booster mode (as it is rated to 100lbs in that way) so I began my search for another seat. I was looking for a seat with a higher weight harness capability so that pretty much narrowed down my search to about 3 brands (Sunshine Kids, Britax, and Recaro). I read the reviews on ALL of them, talked with people that owned some of them and then ultimately deciced to go with the Recaro. I think the deciding factor was the Easy Adjust no-rethread harness. This is a really great feature. My previous car seat had this as well and it is a feature I was not willing to give up. I was also concerned about the maximum height allowance for the seats becasue my son is tall. I wanted to be assurred that he would not outgrow this one too soon. We purchased 2 seats right away. They were easy to install and DO NOT move at all. I have them installed in a Buick Rendezvous and a Dodge Ram Quad Cab and were easy in both. My son seems very comfortable in the seat and I am very pleased with the amount of head and side protection that the seat offers. I thankfully have not been involved in any sort of accident so I cannot say how it stands up in that way, and I am hoping I never find out, but I do feel that I have done what I can to protect my "precious cargo". I would definitely recommend this seat.
FABULOUS! She loves it!!! By

I was a little nervous ordering from a site I had never heard of before - but they price matched and waived the shipping to match the other store I was pondering buying it from. Read reviews about the box arriving like it had been through World War III etc...However, mine was in perfect condition even the box which isn't in another box so keep that in mind if this is a gift. The princess loves it! Adores her new Big Girl Seat that is fine and fancy. The lite mesh material is of high quality it seems and the seat is sturdy and gorgeous. Great Buy and I feel safe with her in it since Recaro makes race car and airplane seats. You can't go wrong with this buy and everything was just as stated on this site. Great first experience with BabyAge.com. I will return.
Comfy, safe By

As our daughter approached 1 year (and the limits of her Peg Perego SIP 30/30 Infant Seat), my husband and I cast about for a similarly safe, comfortable seat. Ultimately the tipping point for the Recaro, in addition to its impressive safety record, sturdy construction and obvious comfort, was the head support. We liked the idea that our daughter could fall asleep during long car rides in comfort with her head and neck supported.

When we received and installed the Recaro Signo, it did not disappoint. This is a well made, sturdy, safe car seat. And our daughter took to the new seat with glee.

We chose to installed the seat rear-facing in our Lexus RX 300 until our daughter reaches the 35 lb weight limit for rear-facing. The seat fits wonderfully in the middle of the backseat. Plenty of room in the back seat on either side, plenty of room for the front seats -- even room for the front passenger seat to fully recline!

We couldn't be more happy with our decision.

This product is outstanding. Just what I expected from RECARO. The booklet that tells you how everything works is a little small, but I figured it out. Price is right. Pick up the other seats available, and you will know you made the right choice.

I already have the britax diplomat and I would say that this one is so much better!

The only complaint I have is that it's not super easy to get my daughter out of the seat when rear-facing. That may be more the fault of my small car (WRX wagon) than the seat. I haven't tried it in other cars. Otherwise, it seems to be a well-engineered seat with very comfortable fabric and cushioning.

This is the second Recaro we bought... for the second car. Although it sits a bit higher than some of the others, the comfort and safety (not too mention peace of mind) is bar none, the best. Even the fact that our two-year old sits a bit higher, he is all the better for it, he can keep an eye on the road and learn as he goes. I highly recommend it: easy to install and made by race car seat experts (safety being top priority). The only draw back... cleaning the materials thoroughly means taking things apart. If you are not as thorough as I am, you can easily clean the surface material -- I just like making sure I get it all clean, including behind the covers. Good luck...
