Recaro

Very happy with this purchase By

I am very thrilled with this booster seat. The first thing my 5 year old said when he sat in it for the first time was "Wow, this is really comfortable"! Can't get any better than that. Fits in my car nicely and is lightweight enough to move easily between cars. Would definitely recommend it to others.
Great Car Seat! By

We looked into Recaro care seats because of the reputation of Recaro seats in Audi's, Porche's, and Lamborghini's. I also researched the brand child seat wise and found nothing but good and impressive information. Recaro actually made the first car seat in 1963 and created the SIP (side impact protection). We bought two of these for my 13 month old son and he loves it and it seems very very well built. They were easy to install and it seems very well built. His head is pretty snug and I don't worry about him moving around in it at all. I highly recommend this car seat.

I already have the britax diplomat and I would say that this one is so much better!

I love these car seats. They appear very comfortable and they are very soft. The one thing is with the straps. I didn't think they could be so twisty, but they are. You have to make sure you loosen the straps all the way and lay them over the edges, and then they are ok when you put your child back in. I got the discounted price, received my seats (I ordered two) and neither were part of the recall. I feel like I got a GREAT deal!!!! I feel like my kids are in the best seats they could be in, and I love that the harness weight is so high---they will be safe for years to come!! I would recommend these to anyone!!

Perfect for our son to sleep in, very very safe (he was in one of these in the back seat of our mini van when my wife was rear-ended by a truck destroying the van - he did not even get a scratch or a bruise - the neck guards are very protective). It is a comfortable seat that is each to use... We like it much better than Britax models. Will get another one for our next child.
It got here fast, in great condition, product matched the description By

As stated above, everything was great and it arrived sooner than expected. By comparison, had ordered some chinos from Banana a week earlier and they only beat this by a day. Not bad considering the size difference of the boxes. Would definitely order from them again.
Better than Britax By

I never thought I'd be saying that after having a Roundabout for 3 years, but after my little girl had outgrown her favorite seat, a new search had begun. She is petite but at that difficult in-between stage...she just fits in a Britax highback booster but at 32 pounds, not safely enough for our peace of mind. Then she's too big for the Marathon. So, 1 returned car seat later (the Eddie Bauer Summit which slid around in our van's latchless captains chairs like a hockey puck on ice)we started looking at the Decathalon, the Boulevard and the Recaro Young Sport. Other reviewers are right--my little girl complained immediately that the Boulevard's center crotch buckle piece was hurting her and the Decathalon didn't leave her much height to grow. As soon as we put her in the Recaro, she said "I want this one! I love it!" The seat depth was perfect, and the padded buckle was soft. Some adjustable height boosters have padding that pushes the kids' upper back forward and cause them to slouch forward but Recaro's seat back padding is thick and flat. After one try of installing it by myself, it was in tight and wouldn't budge! The shoulder strap actually crosses the frame of the seat and holds it in tight. The side impact molding is surprisingly hard and sturdy and I feel so secure knowing that her head and body are protected. I am so glad we can keep her in a harness till she gains more weight. I would recommend this seat to anyone whose child is in that transition stage! The store told us to keep the tags on in case we wanted to return it but my little girl said to me.."mommy lets take those tags off--I never want to return this seat!"

After originally being concerned about the price of this car seat while doing my reasearch, I decided on the Recaro Signo...I told my husband, thinking that he would have a problem paying that much, I was prepared to stand my ground...safety is #1, however I was pleasantly surprised when he responded with a, "hell yes"! What I didn't realize was that Recaro makes race seats. What guy wouldn't want his little boy riding in a seat designed and made by the same people who design race seats? If people in the racing world trust Recaro seats to protect their drivers, I can definitely put my trust in them to protect my little boy. When you order a Recaro, you know you're getting the best in safety.

We received our order on time and couldn't wait to install it. Originally we thought that we would put it on the passenger side of our rear seats so we could see him (we have captain chairs in our SUV) but the car seat is so large that it makes seeing out that window next to impossible and makes the already bad blind spots, worse. So behind the drivers seat is where it's installed. Also, we had to put a towel under the seat to make it level, but it states in the installation instructions that you MAY need to use a towel or a pool noodle.

Our lil Man LOVES his new seat! He still is rear facing because he's not 30lbs yet, but he was too long for his infant seat. He'll have much more room when we turn it forward facing once he's a year old and 30lbs. There is no mirror out there (that I've found) that will allow you to see your child while it's rear facing in this seat, but his coos and giggles let me know he's ok and happy. Once the seat gets turned around, seeing him won't be a problem.

Our Recaro Signo was manufactured during the time of the recall, however I checked the Recaro website and followed the instructions on how/where to check out our seat, it's perfectly fine...no defects to be found.

Overall AWESOME product so far.

PS - Thank you BabyAge.com for the great discount on this seat!

I have three children and this was purchased for my littlest. She is a large 5 month old who outgrew the infant seat. She is so safe and comfortable in this seat. It looks large when you take it out of the box however it fits great in the back seat of my mid-size SUV with two booster seats on either side. I have never felt such a high quality seat material and my little one loves to ride in it. The infant headrest adjusts easier to fit her and she is safe and secure. I wish they made these 7 years ago when I had my first daughter.
