Although this is an extremely early Christmas list buy, i am so happy the way it looks. It is very sturdy. The only assembly is to set the tall tower part into the nested spot, or it can be used as a separate guard shack and the string for the draw bridge you will have to tie off yourself, which is easy as pie. It comes shrink wrapped and is well packaged. i think i am more happy then he will be.

As usual M&D provide a quality product that our kids LOVE! Awesome ability to open the castle for lots of play room for all the knights, horses & catapults that the 2 or more kids are playing with. Plus as a parent, I love that it folds to a more compact square shape (shown in pic) when the kids are done playing with it.
