This is a desk for my 1rst grader.
Looks very nice, sturdy, all wood.
Major feature: the table is 24" high from the floor, leaving a good 7,5" between the Avalon chair seat and the lower side of the table that the kids' legs touch. Perfect size for my big 5 year old and kids in lower grades, as it is not too high as a regular desk would be.
Quality very similar to my beloved Pottery Barn, but at a better size/height and much better price tag!
All in all, very good choice, if it also holds up (just received it).
Table was $70, best price on the web for the Avalon table.
BabyAge customer service very helpful too. Just wish Free shipping would go back to $49!
The color vanilla is like an antique white, not yellowish, but not a bright white either. Still matches with my son's red and white star/space theme.
Assembly is a breeze: just attach the legs and it's ready! The drawer is ALREADY assembled these days (maybe not in the past, have read some complaints abt it). Took abty 30min, being careful not to scratch the paint.

This is just a beautiful play kitchen! The one I only dreamed about having as a little girl. It will definitely grow with the little one. My 15 month old is loving opening and closing the doors and putting things in and taking them out. She also loves turning the knobs from the oven. As she grows taller, it will be a wonderful toy for her to use her imagination. My husband put it together and found the directions to be very clear and good. It took about 2 hours, but there are a lot of pieces. But he found it easy and pleasant to do. He remarked when he was done how he liked it better than our newly renovated kitchen.

My son is a year and a half old, and this is perfect for him. It is a fun piece, very sturdy, and something that looks good in our family room. My son absolutely loves playing with all of the doors, knobs, and all of the extras. Expect to spend some time putting it together, but it is absolutely worth it.

We bought this chair for my grandson, who has not yet tried it. It's a little too small for me, but it looks like a great fit for the young boy. The assembly was a breeze.
