Why You Only Think You Need a High Chair By
January 1, 2004
At dinnertime, when my husband and I like to linger over the table and prefer our daughter to be with us, we learned she would not tolerate the high chair for as long as we wished. She had far fewer objections to a portable feeding chair that hooks on to the table. We purchased a version by Chicco which cost about forty dollars, had a very soft seat, a three-point harness that made sense, and brought her right to the table with us. Something I learned I don't like about high chairs in general is the way they isolate the baby from the table during meals, and in the hook-on feeding chair we didn't have that problem. Feeding her right from the table meant less cleaning because I had to wipe the table down anyway, and the seat we got is covered by a well-padded but slick-surfaced material which was easy to clean. This method takes up much less room than a high chair, can be packed away and hidden on occasion, is much less expensive, and is something you might buy anyway for taking to restaurants and friends' houses. I give it my full endorsement. I never met a budget I didn't want to blow, but not even I can justify spending the money when the two best options are either two hundred dollars or forty dollars. Save the money for a nice toddler chair in the future (I have glowing review of the Stokke Kinderzeat in-draft), which some kids use for years and love sitting in.
No Problems! By

I have not had the problems with this car seat that everyone has complained about. It is a pain to take apart and clean if there is something spilled. I own two eddie bauer car seats and have not had a problem. I would have to say that I prefer Britax but they're really expensive when you have a large family

The red button to unclasp the 5-pt harness is a bit hard to press. Needs several tries.
Otherwise ok, nothing fancy.
Beware! By

I just bought this play yard for my little girl that is due in 2 weeks. Just a warning...it is not pink! I thought from the pictures it was pink but it is brown. So if you do not mind brown it is beautiful!

This was awesome! Kept the mosquitos from getting to my little girl. Kept her brother from hitting her with toys outside. It is vented and it vibrates. Would by another one if I ever have another!!

Love this stroller!! I also have the matching car seat the I bought seperately. It handels very well, is very light weight, fits in the trunk of the car easily. The only complaint is that the storage space in the bottom of the stoller should be a little bigger. Other than that, it's the perfect stroller.

We did a lot of shopping around and found this one at a big baby super store for $50.00 more in another color. We really like it for our 2 1/2 year old. It will grow with her. She says its comfy.
Try your toddler in it. By
January 1, 2004
We have a newborn and a tall and active 2yr 8 month old--I thought this sounded great, since our toddler runs all over the place when not confined to a stroller, and the handles seem to work for tall people. However, as soon as we put our toddler in it, he (intentionally) slid right down below the soft front bar and ran off to look at himself in the security camera at the front of the store. Maybe the restraints would have prevented this, but I don't like to have to buckle him in all the time and he stays in his seat well in the DuoGlider we tried and the Evenflo single stroller we have abused since he was a newborn. Also, the recline in the rear seat of this stroller seemed too steep for our newborn, and since it doesn't take a carseat, it really wouldn't work until she is older. Glad we were able to try it without paying for it. Did fold up small and was light, as others have said.
