Bugaboo FROG

Urban Parent's Dream By
July 29, 2007
OK--we live in Paris, France which has cobblestone, small shops and life dictates that we walk everywhere to do everything. I was nervous getting this stroller because of the size, but WOW! It has been amazing! We don't use our car very often (sometimes weeks and weeks on end without it) so the fold-down isn't an issue. Urbanites should use this--it fits in our tiny european elevator and makes the bumpy roads a little more soothing for the little one!

While we would love to be using the stroller as a stroller outside right now, we made the decision to leave his "bed" inside until he transfers to the crib. Additionally, we would have loved to have been able to use an infant seat with the stroller base, and you could if you used a Graco seat or a pre-2006 Peg Perego seat but we didn't like either of these 2 options. We are very happy with using it as a bassinette though and feel confident that we will also love it as a stroller. We don't regret choosing to use it as a bassinette full time until he transfers to the crib.

Love it! By
January 1, 2004
Just received the new stroller this week. I wanted to buy the stroller when the Frog first came out. But, my son was already walking and we had 5 different strollers at home. With the new baby, I tried to talk myself out of the new 'trendy' stroller and bought a double stroller. But, I couldn't resist. Even though i still need to practice how to open and close the frame, it is a great stroller. We love the handle, the ride, the versatility, and the look of the stroller. Keep in mind it is a HUGE stroller. you may need a suv or mini van to travel with it. The baby loves the new stroller! and she looks so cute in it!
Hop along Frog, Hello CAMELEON! By

If you love the frog, or you just can't decide, try it! You will fall in love too! If you get a chance to use the bassinett, you will love the new and improved *aerosleep* mattress. It has SO many advantages over the old sleeping bag that came with the frog. It keeps baby so much cooler as it is fleece and prevents sweating. It also states that helps protect against allergies caused by dust and other particles. The stroller can be used for a child from 0-4 years of age. Also, you can purchase extra items for your Cameleon and make it all your own. You can now purchase the customizable and matching diaper bag to go with your stroller, as well as a footmuff for the cold, parasol to block the sun, a travel bag for traveling with your stroller, and a wheel board for you toddler to hitch a ride on when he/she is tired of walking.
Not for Everyone By

If you are out to impress, Yes, this will do it. If you are an urban dweller and a hard core stroller person, this is for you and well worth the price. If used at least 2 or more times daily over different terrain, such as cobble or brick sidewalks, clumps of ice or snow etc., again, this is for you. But if you are the occasional Mall stroller user, it's way more than you need, and way over priced for your needs. Yes, the trendy mothers will notice you have the prestigious Bugaboo, but you are paying a lot to be noticed by a select few. I would compare it to people who buy a Land Rover who live in Colorado, as opposed to people who buy the Land Rover in Miami. You can buy a lot of diapers with the price difference if you don't need it.....but if you need it, it's an awesome piece of equipment.
Get a Gecko By

I have had a Gecko now for a month and a half and absolutely love it. I decided to get it over the cameleon mainly because of price and I think it was a good choice. It totally meets my needs. It handles really well especially when popping curbs as well on uneven sidewalks. This is an excellent city stroller. I also sprung for the matching footmuff. It is perfect for those cold windy days and matches the stroller beautifully. If you use a stroller a lot (I live in the city and don't use a car)this is definitely the one to get. It is pricey, but it is far superior!
The Rolls-Royce of strollers has arrived! By

I know this is an expensive stroller, and most people probably wouldn't want to pay or can't pay this much. However if you consider all the other mobile baby devices you would have to buy in order to match the abilities of the Cameleon, you'd probably end up paying the same or more. This stroller takes the place of a pram or regular stroller. It can go off-road as well as to the mall. It's well built, and I'm sure would last for at least two or three kids. Quality of the material is top-notch, and best of all it's safe. The brake system alone is definitely one of the best I've seen on a stroller. All in all, if you can afford this and care about what you push your child in, then the Bugaboo line of strollers is definitely worth considering.
love this stroller but broke after 5 months By

This is the best stroller I've ever owned (I've owned many, maybe 6 now). SO easy to use, so versatile. The only thing I have bad to say is that the brake broke today and it is only 5 months old.
Helpful but where to sit??? By
May 20, 2008
First off, Bugaboo products are the best. They certainly better be for the price! I purchased this wheel board for my daughter to stand on for a second child stroller. It did work until she became too tired to stand. Then she kind of folded her body to sit and held up her feet to not let them drag! It's been helpful to have but MAN oh MAN do I wish that they would bring back the SEAT for the silly thing! Apparently it went off the market about a year ago because it wasn't selling and or some little guy must have took a tumble!
