We use them on top of hardwood flooring for a safer environment for our daughter who is just starting to walk. They are very durable, easy to clean, and very affordable. They are one of the thickest mats we have found and they are very comfortable to walk on. We are very pleased. 5.00 rating April 28, 2010 Great playmat. Thick enough for 1 yr old to fall repeatedly and not get hurt. Kids can tumble safely.
